@mshstudent said: I think there is a bell curve system, where there must be a certain percentage of candidates passing, if not it will be unfair for candidates (eg. Easy vs tough paper). So the marks that u obtained may not be the actual marks, the marks may be adjusted to meet the bell curve.
Thats an interesting concept, though i was under the impression that the final P papers expect a different level of professionalism and sometimes this can be had to master. At this level the ACCA qualification is equivalent to a Masters. Studies and assessments are different for a first degree compared to a Masters. I personally dont think ACCA have a set number of passes to give out, though it would be interesting to see what others think [whilst we all wait for Sunday night!]. Good luck people :)

I think this is possible. If ACCA wants to keep their exam reputation at a certain level, then there has to be some sort of moderation or balancing act to keep the passing rate somewhat consistent. Just a plain guess :)

While there is no specific number of passes to give out for P papers, the pass rate do hover around 50% (essential papers) & 30%(optional papers). This is just my guess and don't take it too seriously. Good luck to you too!

Don't be too worry if the paper was too tough for this exam session, as this may be the same to other candidates too.

Is it happening through normal login or you are using any link?

@mynameisearl said: My grey and white page has a box in it for exams, I assume to book exams. I used the link on page 5 of this thread, it seems like a student page. Nowhere to apply for membership. I don't get this link as i log in and it looks different to my normal ACCA. Where did the link originate from?
You may have passed. I have been a finalsit since ages. Feels like been with ACCA forever.(sounds like a Logan movie right?:p). I personally know people who passed P6 by just attempting 60-70 marks of exam. Link theory is not everything but i have a reason to believe as per my past experience in this that those guys who got through with the link and sat the final exam (just one), it had always worked for them. For others who sat more than one this time, or people who sat one exam but couldnt get through, have still passed.(its not the end of the world). The crux of theory is that you sat one last exam, got through the link , means you are affiliate. Good luck to all.

Which link did you use? I log into myacca with the normal way, and when I tried to add an exam, it shows that there are 'no exam for the session' and the bottom does not state any date.

Did you use the above link or you tried logging in with the normal way?

Just log in to normal my ACCA , from left side go to exam entry. The page open will show last updated on the bottom right hand side

Now my latest news also disappeared from my home page :( I think I've never been so impatient about an exams result. Good luck to you all!!! I know it is a hard time for the finalists.

What does it means if it is last updated July, 2017?

Yeah I see it now. This is an accaglobal page and can be seen by everyone, this may not be an indicator of our result.

Hi Guys, I have sat P6 in June and the exam was super tough !! to top it up there was also a fire drill during the exam which meant we had to evacuate the building for 20 minutes. Does anyone support this link theory?

@arfan54 said: What does it means if it is last updated July, 2017?
It is an accaglobal page which can be seen by everyone, i don't think it has any relation with our result.

Lol Acca is really playing with our nerves. By the way when you log in on acca e-business: https://www.acca-business.org/pls/ecommerce/elopl001.p_login On the welcome page when you click on the following link where does it take you? For information on examination results click here.

For me, I don't really support the link theory given that there are many discrepancies with many forumers who have tried it in previous exam session. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure that ACCA would have covered up this loophole by now. Do have to see what others think too!
