Is it down again? Ive an exam in 30 mins
Mmj5y ago#121
Well ACCA have done it again, what a complete shambles!! Tried to log in this morning to take my FM exam, couldn't even get to the login. Clicked on MyACCA and a website busy message appeared. Tried for an hour without success. Phoned ACCA and was told the server was "slightly down". I'm no I.T expert, but "slightly down" really??? I was advised to keep trying and that eventually my invigilator would call me. That didn't happen. With the check-in window closing in ten minutes I called ACCA again. Was told the I.T department were aware of the issue and someone would contact me or I could call back later...later, really? what a joke. After check-in time had passed I emailed ACCA. I received an automated email eventually stating that I could rebook, but of course that's only if you can log into MyACCA, which I still couldn't. Alternatively you could complete the online form or just call one of their helpful advisors...so I did...and I was told that he couldn't re-book for me. So why say that in the email then?? The shambles continues....one hour after check in closes, I receive a text message with a link to access MyACCA. I log in and select the launch exam button, I admit this was extremely optimistic, but according to the SMS this was an option...but no, all hopes dashed...another message saying my check in has closed. So too little too late ACCA. So eventually after going round in circles for hours I have finally rebooked for next Friday. It'll take me till then to get over the stress and upset from this morning. Can someone please tell me why ACCA offer remote exams if they haven't got sufficient or adequate resources to provide them? I naively thought they had resolved the issues from earlier in the week. As for their apology, they have no idea just how much unnecessary stress, disappointment and frustration they have caused for the affected students, and "we're sorry" just doesn't cut it for me. My heart goes out to anyone who has to wait until March, clearly ACCA don't realise that some students actually have to fit studies around real life!! If I have problems again next week I will be transferring to another accountancy body that is capable of actually supporting it's students. Rant over. Best of luck to all who actually got to take exams :)

From what i can see ACCA will fail alot of us again just to make a point , in my opinion this is not fair at all . The moment you will start receiving them Learn Signal adverts and that lot just know as they have access to our results ... Lost all the credibility with ACCA sadly
Mmj5y ago#123
Dear mwiser....Calm down..seriously? you poor thing, your experience definitely worse than mine. Have you submitted a complaint or tried to rebook to try again? I would hound them for another go. Not much point in acca fixing the issues if they don't do anything to prevent them from reoccurring!

I took my FM exam today at 5:00 pm and in the between, the connection got lost and I was not able to reconnect, did anyone faced the same issue ? was the ACCA site working properly today?
AAbdul5y ago#125
it was a difficult paper especially question 2 was very confusing.
Mmj5y ago#126
I don't see how acca could possibly justify anything, and after this fiasco how could anyone trust them?. And the actions of some of the invigilators from what I've read has been equally poor...some of them don't seem to know the rules they're supposed to ensure we follow. Its a Shame acca can't put in the same amount of effort to facilitate exams, as we have to put in to pass them. Acca definitely failed this one.

Please check the ACCA's response to today's problems https://opentuition.com/topic/myacca-platform-outage-official-acca-response/

This is exactly what happened to me too, same exam. The exam was fine until I pressed exit at the end, program was not responding and then crashed but browser lock and webcam was still on but no way of communicating with anyone so had to restart the computer. Myacca was down so couldn't contact them to find out if my exam had been submitted, finally managed to email them and got a reply this morning, 4 days later, saying "it seems you have completed your exam. You shall receive a confirmation within 48 hours".
TTony5y ago#129
Sat the AFM exam remotely for the whole 3 hours then received an email from them today saying that my exam hasn't been submitted... wtf (and I called them right after the exam to check it was submitted).
RR5y ago#130
@Tony I received the same email. Can't believe it. What did they say to you when you called yesterday? Did your exam crash at any point?
BBrian5y ago#131
@Tony @rapha1 What was your exam sitting time? Havn't received any email but my exam finished during when their system was down - the end of exam was quite abrupt and no one from email / help / call is able to confirm whether my exam was submitted. Almostly feel like whoever told you your exam was submitted didn't actually check....
RR5y ago#132
Wednesday morning. But I was never told that it was submitted.
TTony5y ago#133
They just told me that she can only check on their system the next day or two, although the status on myACCA said it's submitted. Basically I had no issues until the exam finished and then the application just kept freezing up... I had the exam on Friday 1pm.
RR5y ago#134
Where does it say submitted for you? All I can see on myACCA is 'booked' and next to it 'withdrawal'. What do you plan to do now? Seems that the only option is to sit it again in March which is absolutely ridiculous.
BBrian5y ago#135
Guess everyone's got different time zones - mine exam sitting was 5:30am-8:45am in GMT terms. Had tried emails etc. which none is even able to confirm whether exam's submitted, but almost seems like trying to encourage you to withdraw it yourself so it's no longter their issue.
AAlper5y ago#136
I did exam and submitted at around 13 :30 gmt +3 . After the exam I checked from myacca. But now I got an email that due to technical problems, my email ewas terminated. They will give my credit DELETED

TTony5y ago#139
BTW just an update, ACCA sent me an email today confirming that they have received my paper !
VVivienne5y ago#140
Today, i was supposed to be passing my PM exam, i have complete 3 times system checks all was ok, and successfully checked in, launched my exam all looked ok, until the first question popped out, the exam page just suddenly disappeared!!! The online technical support person has run the troubleshoot however it did not work! so... ACCA did refund my exam fee straightaway, however the stress has caused it's just unbelievable!! I was well prepared for the exam, and now i have to pass two papers in March. I think i won't be passing another home remote exam for sure! it's a joke!

I suffered a weird issue, during the technical checkup (after I clicked and submitted all the photos from my phone) a pop up showed up and said “sorry there’s a technical error. We’ll arrange for another exam free of charge, don’t worry” something like this and then in the pop up notification they also mentioned a link to go through from my phone. As soon as I started typing out the link, the notification went away and my exam started automatically. There was no proctor person, no chat box, no audio/video check going on during the exam. I didn’t know what to do, I did email them for the same through the contact us for remote exams. But I don’t know if I was supposed to carry on with the exam/not. I did the exam and submitted. It affected a lot, my mind was wandering due to this issue. Any idea what will happen? Will my exam be accepted?

I had the exact same issue on my tax exam yesterday. I just went through the exam like normal and submitted it, really hope its accepted. It allowed me to end the exam and submit then the survey come up so fingers crossed. Exam went well so ill be super annoyed if it doesn't get accepted
KimKimTutor5y ago#143
@gargi5 and @lou82 and anyone who has any issue - this is advice from ACCA: “Any student uncertain of why they have received a rebooking text message, or uncertain of the status of their exam script, should contact ACCA either by telephone +44 (0)141 582 2000 or via https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us I suggest the contact-us
SShane5y ago#144
How do you know it has been submitted on MYACCA? Where do you check? I guess mine is ok.I had to get my exam reinstated after accidently withdrawing and even though they said it will be getting correct is their another way on MYACCA to check?? BTW the hell I had to go through to get it reinstated was absolutely rotten to the core!! I advise anyone that has the same issue to go to"Contact directly" option on ACCA Contact page.
LLouise5y ago#145
My exam that I took this week still says booked on the book exam page and my exam record doesn't say its pending or anything. No idea whether my exam is submitted or not and nobody from acca has contacted me after I emailed
SShane5y ago#146
Hi Lou. I have the same thing as in it says" still booked" but when you go into myacca -my qualification-detailed exam history and then it should say" Results for December 2020 will soon be available here". I am pretty sure thats when you know they have received it. I could be wrong and its just my opinion
Ppriyanka5y ago#147
was your exam submitted? i faced the same issue and received a reply from ACCA stating that the exam was not submitted and asked me to withdraw my exam. :(
LLouise5y ago#148
I rang ACCA on Monday and they said that they had received my exam, since then when i go to book my exam area my December exam now says waiting for results, such a relief now just got to hope i passed, i only took 2 hours which im now worried about but at the time i felt i had done as much as needed!
SShane5y ago#149
Hi Lou, yep I got the same "awaiting results" so now I know 100% that they are getting corrected It took me 2 hours to do my Irish tax exam but went over it again. Prety confident I got 55-65%. Then again they are Acca exams and unpredictable
MAMaa Abena Kwakyewaah Obeng-Okon5y ago#150
Hello Please I want to know if anyone is having difficulties seeing their ACCA results from their account. I just wrote one and have to wait 72 hours for it to be uploaded to myAcca account. Please did anybody here see theirs after 72 hours or there was a problem.
