No problem. I remember it well. I was working in a Sandwich shop when I was a student, and a rep came in with a crate of Dasani and asked me if I’d ever heard of it. He was surprised that I had (but I’d seen it in the US).
He prattled on a bit about this new launch and breaking in the UK market, bla bla bal…, left his details and gave us the crate as a promo gift; we added the bottles to the inventory and sold them as normal enjoying the free profit. 🙂
I’d left the job before the scandal hit the news, and I’m not sure the owner ever bought in any more stock. 🙂
Coca Cola now owns the Innocent brand instead, and I think that sits a better within their portfolio of ‘healthy drinks’.
They bought Innocent in response to Pepsi buying out Copella because Coke couldn’t stand the thought of Pepsi making a killing in the fruit juice market and themselves being left behind.
