hI this is my 2nd attempted and I failed with 45 marks. any online exam study course for P5? kindly advise. thanks
@jinhua said: Congratulations to everybody who passed Alex Watt's tricky paper. I managed to get 57% even though I only had time to write for 71% of the paper and am now an affiliate. Advice for those who have to do a retake. Firstly, don't give up. ACCA has taken me 6 years to complete. This was my 3rd attempt at P5 and I was close to giving up even if I only had 1 exam to take. Now I am glad I carried on and finished because the feeling of achieving it is amazing. Don't go for an admin review, its a waste of money. They don't remark your paper, they just make sure that all of their procedures have been used properly and that all of your marks have been added up correctly. IF you plan to take P5 again, learn the models so that you can remember them but the real marks are in how you use the models e.g. Building blocks, BCG Matrix. Doing a lot of practice questions was the key to me passing this time. Wish you all good luck in future exams and future careers.

@Plitka said: Have you seen the pass rates? It's only 31% this session, lowest rate among all the acca exams (the same level has the P7)
but the times i prepared and took exam for it at least twice over all other papers.

@opeolatoye said: P7 = 60 P5 = 55 (only answered 3 outta 4 questions and thot I had failed) All completed now…woop woop. Congrats to everyone who have passed. If you havent, dont give up. Stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone next time! All the best!
P5, 3 out of 4? What do you mean, man? There are only 3 obligatory questions, may be I should try all the 4 questions in the booklet ))) since tried 100% and I got only 40. I consider much depends on the marker and his approach. Anyway congratulations!!!

I strongly advise you to follow the advise from this links https://opentuition.com/topic/how-i-scored-81-marks-in-p5-in-dec-2012/ https://www.pqaccountant.com/pmag-FFFF00500180006E02171957.html In addition read all the P5 technical articles from the ACCA website. It is also vital that you do all the past exam questions especially those that have been set by Alex Watt. This will allow you to get a feel of his style of setting questions. Make sure that you also study all the examiners reports that have been published since Alex Watt took over. Good luck to all

I scored 55%. I give all the glory to god almighty... Also a special thanks to opentution.com, I downloaded p5 material from this website,,listened to your videos,,,went through question debriefs with the lecturer online, without using any additional resources and i passed on my third attempt of the paper. I had the previous two sitting with a tuition house, i paid heavily, yet i failed. I still cant believe i got all the materials i got here free of charge....You guys are really doing great.I love the lecturer,,though i dont know his name,,yet he impacted on my timing and exam techniques positively. I recommend this site to any student writing this paper,,,the lectures are well organised and understandable......I owe you open tuition.....God bless you all I am so glad to become an acca affiliate. May I know what is the highest score in malaysia for P5? Got any score more than 72?
Former userFormer user13y ago#118
Well at least P5 is behind me 55% and proud
Mmacdaddy13y ago#119
passed on third attempt - 65%. i failed miserable the first 2 times. The best advice i can give ppl is to read the examiners comments and know inside out what he's looking for when he's asks you to evaluate/analyses/assess something. I hadnt done that the first two sittings and my result now speaks for its self, rote learning the syllabus will only get you so far, its crucial you know what hes asking in the requirements!

Finally an affiliate ! Thanks to opentuition, I was hospitalised the day i was supposed to start my study leave and had major surgery the day before the exam,I had no time to go through the rev kit and everyone thought i was mad when i got up in the morning from the hospital bed on the 6th saying I was going to write my exams . Long story short,I went to write with nothing but the resources and lectures from open tuition not to mention that i got very sick after the exams because of sitting for 3 hours and I only did 70% of the paper.Anyway it was all worth it, now I have made it a point to tell everyone about opentuition .Thanks a Million
