APM** P5 Exam Results December 2012 and Genius Hunt **

a very tough and challenging paper, very open ended and really not my favourite of the option papers. I just don't feel like i have learnt anything new that really benefits me. Anyway we try again and see how it goes. Giving up is never an option

Feel free to contribute back to OpenTuition forum and help more of our friends here to pass P5, or maybe helping them achieve prizewinner status haha! @oltago, I know you must be joking, but f you are feeling mighty generous to make ACCA richer, you can donate your administrative review fee and they'd be laughing away. Admin review are for those who had marginal fail, like 1 or 2 marks to pass. Surely you knew about this?

I have finally managed to pass with 51 only but at this point would have been happy with 50. I am now an Affiliate. My message to those who failed this paper several times, please do NOT give up or change the subject. I stuck by it despite many failures on this paper only; I even thought about giving it all up and used to wake up with horrible failure feeling. Now I can look back and advice even if it’s only been a day since the achievement. I think I only passed this paper because I did not let this final impossible (for me) paper take over my life, I took it easy this time after failing it a few times. I even went out a week before the exam. I am not saying the paper is easy but please don’t forget to enjoy. All the best

Passed - 66% Cleared all ACCA exams in first attempt. Now an ACCA Affiliate.

Hi, Passed P5 with 53% after three attempts. The nightmare is over and im affiliate today. And looking forward to full memebrship soon. Studying alone is not easy Open tuition was intrumental in this success. Long live Open Tuition.

Hi everybody, firstly my heartiest congratulations to all those who pass. Unfortunately, I scored only 41%. But what is astonishing is that it was my 2nd time and i scored the same % as my first sitting!!!. If anyone can advise, please do not hesitate.

i took 4 papers, p2, p3, p5 & p7, passed p2, p3, p7, because only studied p5 for one week, will try again in June! Congrats to all the ones passed! Thank you God!

I failed P5 again and this is my third attempt and the only Paper remaining for me to become an affiliate. Can these People who passed assist by guiding me on what strategy i should use to clear the paper. I really want to be an affiliate. This paper is really drawing me back in terms of career progression and i feel really bad as i now feel like i dont know where am going wrong. Please help with the strategy. I have the knowledge but why am i failing?

Well I failed again upon my second attempt. Like an old soldier never say die until the bones are rotten. I will prepare very well for the next sitting. Meanwhile I congratulate all of you who made it. Go to the world and brighten the corner wherever you found yourself. Shalom peace!

Scored 70. Passed, now an affiliate

Alex Thanks very much for that advice. I think I have to take it up. I somehow lost myself on Qn 2 and eventually failed the paper. Alex Watt is a bit unpredictable. Will try next time to concentrate.
