I sat P6 and P5 and failed both... i guess sometimes its just bad luck...

No, it's not. In my last attempt I failed p6 at 49. That was my final exam and I researched the administrative review thoroughly. All the research lead me to believe that there's only a 2-3% chance of the original mark being changed in favor of the candidate. Even then I was like it's worth a chance so I went ahead with the review. The result didn't change. There are two problems with the review in your case. One is that you got 49. They give a very special and extra look to the "49" cases. If it had been 47 or 46, you would have had a better chance with the review because there were more chances of a mistake occurring but at 49, knowing how crucial that one mark is for the candidate, they take extra precaution and therefore less chance of a fail changing to a pass. Secondly, the review is just a recounting of the marks that have been assigned not a conceptual recheck of the paper. Having said that, except for the potential loss of 79 or so pounds, no harm in trying. Good luck.

Failed with 44!!! lost the count of the attempts i made on p5 ...probably was my 5th attempt... done almost everything text, past papers, technical articles and even prayers...nothing seems to be working.... dont know whether to change the option especially struggling with only this paper for the past 2 years to qualify :(.. would be extremely thankful to those who have scored well can share me the way to tackle p5. my id is [email protected]...

Congrats to all who pass, if you did not get through this time, please don't give up. I failed p5 four times, but i knew i could not give up after reaching so far. I cried for a couple days and then i decided to get up and approach the exam as if i was doing it for the first time, and i got the result i wanted....you too can do it.

53 - passed from fourth attempt. just one exam left - P4 or P7. what would you suggest?

Passed first time with 59, but failed P4 with a 43 :(

it was my first attempt and i passed with a 52%. i prayed and prayed for a pass and i had really given it my all in terms of studying.normally i read text book, open tuition notes and ensure to do all questions in the exam kit at least twice.

alhamdulillah,i passed this time around.this was my third attempt,had 54.i did not know i was going to pass.i have P7 left.congrats to all those that passed and affiliates. to those that did not pass,try again you will make it God willing.

Sorry 49% got my attention....Honest answer you're wasting your time and money...true story i got 49% on my final exam for membership i.e p5, then 48% then 28% (and i thought i had passed it! I still think to this day that was a mistake somehow), repeated it again, studied, wasn't happy, had looked into doing p6 next time but i got 57%.....its a strange world with the very final exam, you make your own luck, you'll get it next time, just believe!

Did you achieve your local prizewinner status in your country? @oltago, I know you must be joking, but f you are feeling mighty generous to make ACCA richer, you can donate your administrative review fee and they'd be laughing away. Admin review are for those who had marginal fail, like 1 or 2 marks to pass. Surely you knew about this?

I got 37% fail...What is wrong? How can I do better? Why every time I try harder, but result gets lower? I trust Opentuitions. It is the best lessons that I had ever attended. I think there is something wrong in my answers though I think I had covered majority part of syllabus. I will come to a stronger person after this paper. June 2013, I am all in.

@angryhamtaro, I do not have a clue how I can know whether my result is good enough to be on the top in my country. I sat exam in my native country Russia. I always ready to share my opinion how to pass P5. If you think it is sensible I can write some general thoughts about that and post here. Just let me know.
