When I entered the exam class I had two types of computer screen on my desk: one with big diagonal size, the other one with smaller. Guess which one we had to use? We are learning about big data and cloud computing, but we are working on screen size like in the 90's:-). I started with section A, then went to Section C where I lost a big part trying to arrange the screen for reading and working the answers and in the end in section B, which was a bit challenging, the remaining time was not enough. I had prepared myself for this exam, but after the end, I left with the feeling that I didn't manage to show it in the real time. I will be happy to pass the exam!

Lifecycle profit Gold account question was from 2018 past paper

Does anyone remember the true or false questions?, the one with 4 statements. Also the labor time per unit...the learning curve one (80%, 24 minutes for the first unit, -0.3214 index I think), options were 9,8,6 and...7 can't recall the fourth option.
SSara4y ago#66
Ry4n on the question with learning curve my answer was 6. Which was 5 something i rounded to 6. Learning effect after 26th unit. So i calculated the 25th one and the 26th deducted to see the diffrence.

MMarta4y ago#70
Yes, this was my 2nd attempt and I feel like went much worse than in September.. Sect A was okay, section b material mix and yield variances were fine but throughput and other qs ( now don't even remember what it was) very hard.. overwhelming with too much info) Sect c got 3 EE's re hospital and relevent costing - answered some parts but overall I don't feel confident.
JJesse4y ago#71
Same, the Brakers section C question was awful...I didnt manage to finish it.
SSwati4y ago#72
Did anyone get question on flexed budget and transfer prices on section C. Found this exam quiet hard, Section B was all do with variances which is struggled

Yep I got both of those. Exam was ridiculously hard
SShax4y ago#74
Hi i got the same questions as you in section c, any chance you remember your answers for transfer pricing?
GGrainne4y ago#75
Can't take the poll says it's private. Found the brake co in section c and the bank gold member account in section b hard and time consuming actualy ran out of time by the end. 3rd time repeating it and have come out feeling worse than the previous two times as I had really put in the work this time but I don't think it was good enough. Sometimes the wording just isn't clear cut.thete wasn't as much multiple choice in section a lot of typing the answers in so one some I couldn't work out I had to leave blank. Not happy at all. The exam kit questions and ACCA practice platform mocks are nothing like how the exam is worded.

Hiya yes I feel really demotivated after that exam, I know I failed, I struggled with most of the paper, at one point I was wondering if I was in the right exam, not good, got to be the worst exam sitting for me to date, I have PM and FM to finish the level, don't know whether to move on to FM or keep flogging this one.

Can anyone discuss the transfer pricing question sec C
ASAshiq Shuqoor4y ago#78
Can yu pls discuss the set which had Sec C transfer pricing and flexed budget variance blended qn. Pls update if yu have seen before any similar model qn to the Sec C mentioned above in this set
ASAshiq Shuqoor4y ago#79

XXYZ4y ago#80
discuss?
XXYZ4y ago#81
I am scared about section A. In section B i had to know about what"s would be monthl porfit in throughput accounting.! the major one..
SSanket4y ago#82
did anyone get BER 850600 and Budgeted profit 120600?
IIuliia4y ago#83
I started with ACCA 3 years ago. It was was easier to get a pass. I got 48 marks when I first attempted PM and questions were not that tough as they are now. Then I had 2 other attempts and got only 40. I hoped I could pass it this time but now I am not sure. What is going on? It is also a bit unfair that there are different versions. And yes, B part was so consuming.
YYoosuf4y ago#84
It was my third attempt for F5, I got 48 and 47 marks each for first two, but the questions was easy for those two sessions as compared to this one. I got the same paper. Section B was hard especially in throughput question. Section C make or buy question was a disaster for me, second part for 8 marks didn't even attempted.
RRyan4y ago#85
@SaraSharif , Should X not be the change though? So, 136,000 - 80,000 = 56,000
SShruti4y ago#86

I have the same as you do, only PM and FM to finish this level and really put an effort for this exam session, I must say that exam was so confusing, I was wondering what they want to ask in some questions. It is just demotivating feeling.

My Section C was the make or buy for Brake Co, and then the 3E's for EHT hospitals. Re Brake Co - did anyone else recommend that Brake Co continue to manufacture both the discs and the callipers? The 3E's were mostly OK I think albeit seemingly a bit repetitive in the questions being asked.
Aanniebabe4y ago#90
Yes I got that and put they should try to supply both, don't know if it's right or not, got totally flustered. I also got the hospital question and I struggled there too, all in all not a good attempt, preparing to resit in March
