what did you get for the MOS question in section A? I hardly answered the make or buy question in section C as I ran out of time!
RRyan4y ago#33
I got 136,000 instead of 61,000, i dont know if that's correct though, but the equation i got the same as yours.

Ambuj11 wrote:Anyone got these : Section A: LC-90%, ERPS-integrated database system, incremental budgeting theory, residual income theory, ABC practical q, Throughput return per hour,
Yes Section A : i got LC 90% as well, I choose MIS as integrated system (probably wrong), Residual Income theory (do u rmb what u choose, i choose RI encourages managers to buy NCA , another one relating to financing cost (im not sure), incremental budgeting theory , Life cycle theory (4 options) , LF only material is a LF , sales Qty is $400 A ( found from Sales Volume 1400A = sales mix 1000 A + Sales qty V) (not sure if this is correct) Section B : Price elasticity is very hard ,couldnt find the demand for PED 1.4 , ABC costing one question with inspection (per month) (so i 12X inspection units X production volume ) to find the cost driver , Variance is still okay Section C: Building block model is hard for me , didnt manage to answer why it is useful for service business, CVP analysis is still okay

I did! The first question regarding standard weighted cost threw me off! Overall the exam was tested on more theory based questions which is not what I focused on.
OHomar hussain ali4y ago#36
for the standard weighted cost i got like 0.31 or something? and for the residual income question i think i got 18,750 or something?anyone else?
SSara4y ago#37
On this i got b=0.00025 ?
SSara4y ago#38
On this i cant remember the amount. But i worked out roce backwards to find the pbit. And then calculated te RI.
SSara4y ago#39
Mine was exactly the same. Found difficult on make or buy question. Really didnt know where to start from. Hope i get some marks for the adjustments atleast.
SSara4y ago#40
Weighted average cost i got $1.25
SSara4y ago#41
PED i got 56.000 who else? PED=1.4 Mc + 400% which was $2 + 400% = $10 At $10 demand was 80,000 % change in price from $10 to $15. $5/$10 = 0.5 PED = % change in price/%change in qty 1.4 = 0.5/X x = 0.7 0.7 = x/80.000 X = 56.000
KKishan4y ago#42
Yes i got the question with the variances for liters

I got Brakers Co That was the worst question for me, I didn't manage to finish it and I think I did bad on that one.

I got that question but I can't remember the answer. It was just the lower of cost of hiring or cost of standard workers + loss of contribution

My god, somebody please tell me what's wrong with total mix and the Bank's golden open account and other CVP part. I was extremely confident as all my tests regarding variance and CVP normally took less then 2 minutes to come to results.. but I did calculate 5 times, and can't get the answer, so have to do the best guess.. So disappointed. Section B is too hard compared to short time assigned. It need complicated calculation, especially the throughput. Same for few other calculcation, why I cant get to any answer, and dont know where I am wrong till now. By the way, what is the golden open account? is there any tricks there? how you can calculate "wtf" complicated scenario for 3.5 minutes for 2 score?

This was first attemp, but i faced technical issue 1.5h before end of exam. My internet gone so i used mobile hotspot then exam was resumed and everything was fine (technical part). But when suddenly i checked "Chat window with supervisor, i found that she wrote me that she can not see me as her monitor is black and in case of not solving she will revoke my exam. Got call from USA (as i could not send msg to her in supervisor support window) we tried to solve the technical issue by trying to reconenct to wifi (instead of mobile hotspot), but no success. So unfortunately my exam was revoked. Sent msg to ACCA Global and waiting for reply. Toward exam: Section A- was so so (not too hard and not too easy). Section B - i think it was hard (price equation, throughput accounting, mix/yield variance). Seciont C- First Q which i was stopped due to technical issue i found too hard. Outsource and Product.

ME!! I got the same! :D The 1.4 PED = 560
SSanket4y ago#57
Did anyone got a question of North factory and midway something like that
SSara4y ago#58
For me it was the cost of diverting the labour + contribution lost. 500h by $20+ $4 contribution. Remember it was $8 contribution for 2 hours. So my answer there was $12.000.
SSara4y ago#59
I got the paper with section C was baker and the other question was 3 Es.

ajabbie12 wrote:Section A and C(rolling budget and balanced scorecard) are fair and normal. The amount of info in section B(throughput and limiting factor) was overwhelming. Even if you were able to get through it, would have taken a lot of your time. Absolutely unnecessary!
What was the contribution figure in limiting factor
