Yes Jennie I agree. I think pretty much as soon as they sent the first lot they realised so for people who did not get the email I really do not think it means you’ve failed, it just means you were further down in the list. For example I was sent the email at 2pm and had called them by half past 2 and I am sure some people were even faster than that!

@jennie1984 That's the only bit of hope I have to cling to now because I know they do send emails and texts out in batches on results day as people get them at different times. Sometimes I've got them 1 minute past Midnight and other times not until quarter past.

And congratulations to everyone who has received the email! I know from experience how hard it is to get there.

ACCA needs to own up and address what has happened to Students

I sent another message and it... disappeared. Maybe I had written that for too long... What I can say is that I didn't receive the email so I don't hold out any hope for becoming an affiliate. I was almost 100% sure I failed AFM, though I was relatively happy with APM. Judging by the tone of the official reply from ACCA, there is very little chance for those who didn't receive the email, so I won't count on it (all the best to others though!).

Any non finalist received some mail ?

How do non finalist find out about pass ?

This happened while ago with Indian CA's where the results were announced and revised again failing thousands of students back in 2018. Watching same again with professional Institute being careless. Lucky I passed that time

Given the circumstances I also think the right thing to do would be for the ACCA to release all results early so it is fair for all students. On another note does anyone know if the examiners reports have been published?

Which region received DEC sitting registration mail ?

I didn't receive any DEC email First prof paper At of you who gave first PROF paper and didn't receive DEC mail ?

It was only a email for finalists that was sent

Not yet

I sat APM and AFM. Whilst I was quite happy with APM, AFM was totally disastrous for me and I'm quite sure I failed epically with that one. I didn't really hold out much hope that I'd become an affiliate but now I'm totally sure that I'll have at least one exam to pass in December, providing the December session won't get thwarted by covid-19... That would really be a shame. I didn't receive the email and judging by the tone of the official answer, this means that I have failed unless something unusual has happened. I don't think it's wise to count on that (all the best to others though!) - at least I'm less anxious now, however, I will be really gutted on Monday if I find out that I've failed both APM and AFM.

Update on early release of Affiliate letter by ACCA: The results should have been out last Monday and this letter would then be released a few days later to the successful new affiliates. It looks like somebody forgot to delay the releasing of this letter. Which pretty much means if didn't get email u failed, the next exam for ethical issues I will mentioning acca for sure

When did you get DEC mail

Seems most of the people received the message within the same time of 14 @ UK time

ACCA should act immediately and announce everyone result without further delay .. what happened really painful !

So, it should be understood that no affiliate email means fail.

Me too never receive DEC exam

Hi everyone. I sat SBR and SBL in Sep 20. I am not a finalist. I am pretty sure I have failed SBR and try to book my exam SBR again for Dec session to ensure I have a slot in my preferred location but there doesn't seem to be the option for me to book this exam. Is this because I am awaiting results? In the past, I think I have been able to book the exam before getting the results. Thanks for your reply.

Considering I didn’t get the email I should prepare for the next step. I took SBL and APM this attempt, so if I did fail, SBL I have to retake that, but for APM, I can go with ATX and AFM. So I am thinking of going with ATX, any tips from you guys. I scored very high in TX so hoping I can do this well as well.

You can't book the exam till you get the results from this one.
