Those of you who are regulars to our Forums will know that we always want to provide you with the best service we can, so we are really pleased and proud to announce our new initiative to "Advancing the quality of OBU”
We receive many, many requests to recommend great mentors but this puts us in a difficult position as while Trephena, our Forum Moderator is willing to answer questions on the Forums, she cannot take on personal students for mentoring. So we wanted to remedy this situation – the problem though was how to find mentors that truly are world class so that we could really advance the quality of your OBU experience while offering very high quality mentoring that we can endorse with total confidence.
So going forward we will provide details of first class mentors but only mentors whom we think are good at what they do and have a proven track record to match would be on this list in the future.

Advancing the quality of the OBU - OpenTuition Recommended OBU Mentors
Alot of people would probably take the plunge and register due to this recommendation and I hope OT has done a lot offline, background work to arrive at this endorsement .Moreover, you should consider adding your location address to your website and look into other customer confidence building mechanism- paypal and other online verification system- I love Azimo but i cant use it for a business transaction.
A potential mentee.
Learning Luminarium is definitely good when it comes to OBU mentorship. They can be recommend at any time to anyone that need to pass. I approach them for my second attempt. They always willing to listen and guide student. Initially was not sure how to go about my report but through their proper guidance was able to understand all that was required. I gained a lot through my mentor as he has a positive attitude, answer questions same day despite the time difference. Their charges are reasonable and I got valued for the money paid.
Passed my second attempt thank you Learning Luminarium
Thank you for this. I was given a lot of flak by someone on the Mentoring forum because I endorse the Learning Luminarium. (I wouldn't recommend just anyone as I have exacting standards myself and want only the best for students)
@dorcas
Thank you so much for your kind words. Comments like this are what keeps us going and striving towards the goal of being the best mentors possible.
Congratulations on your passing! We wish you the very best in your career ahead!

Irwin from The Learning Luminarium was excellent and i will recommend them over and over, though it may be appear expensive i can assure you, the service render in return outweigh the cost. Thank you Open-tuition for recommending them, from the first contact i knew i had made the right decision.
Thank you to Irwin from the Learning Luminarium team for supporting me in successfully passing my RAP. I fully recommend him. My project was based in Corporate Governance so if you're thinking on choosing that topic you can be assured that you have very good chances of passing your project first time.
Your sincerely
José

The Learning Luminarium
I passed my Research and Analysis Project. Thanking Opentuition for all the advice and help their site offers to ACCA students and also for recommending the Learning Luminarium. Their mentors are highly professional. Mr. Irwin TLL was great to deal with and he put me on to Ms. Susanna Loh. She was highly competent and professional.
@balkissoon - thanks for your kind commendation! We are glad to have been able to accompany you on this journey. Susanna speaks well of you and sends her regards!
All the best for your future endeavors!
I came across The Learning Laminuarim by accident, on Open Tuition, and I am thankful that I did. Initially, I was hesitant about signing up for online mentoring services, as I was concerned that I won't be able to sufficiently communicate with my mentor, but my concerns were not in place!
I was assigned Irwin to act as my mentor, he gave me such focused attention, as if I was his only student! His responses were prompt, his doors were open for me anytime I needed to communicate any doubts or issues, and he provided me with constructive clear advice whenever he reviewed my work, as well as invaluable recommendations that improved my research significantly.
I am glad I chose The Learning Laminuarim for mentoring services, they made the project so much easier for me, and I cleared all components on first attempt with a satisfactory grade.
I confidently recommend their services, they are worth the try!
Kind Regards,
Maha
Dear all
I have just submitted my research project and used the Learning Luminarium (LL) my mentor was Irwin Loh but I am sure the other mentors are equally as good.
I did pay for the platinum package as this is the first time I have ever done something like this and I wanted to mitigate my risk of failure to the fullest extent, it is money very well spent in my experience. Irwin was brilliant in every respect insightful, knowledgeable and most importantly helpful. For someone like myself who works full time it was really helpful that I could contact my mentor on weekends. You will still need to put in the effort yourself but I am certain the other providers would struggle to hold a torch to LL.
The only other word of advice that I would give is you will need access to a good library as LL doesn't yet have this facility?
Kind regards
Richard M
Hello,
I am going to submit my Rap for the first time in November 2016 and I am confused to choose my mentor. I read info on your forum about learning Luminarium ,it service quality is high, but the price is expensive for me. I tried to find out more cheaper ones, has anyone student any exerience with Anna Lischman or Virtual mentoring?
I look forward to hearing your advises .
Thank you in advance ,
Natali from Georgia
Anna Lishman is no cheaper than the Learning Luminarium however Hammad Ahmed Qureshi of the VM Virtual Mentoring Network I believe is a lot cheaper so may suit those who have to work to a strict budget.
All three are reputable and have a reasonable pass rate but as mentioned previously, TLL mentors have the experience of being tutors as well as mentors and have been involved far longer in the RAP process. I would particularly recommend them for students facing their final submission attempt or in a situation when passing is absolutely critical.
Dear Trephena, thank you for your attention !
Under TLL , you mean The learning Luminarium , am I right?
Natali
Hooray!!!
Passed with B grade on first attempt!
It was the challenging and exciting experience.
Many thanks to my mentor Irwin Loh from "The Learning Luminarium" for the patience and attentive approach!!!
I highly recommend him personally.
Kairat
I am just preparing for the 33rd Submission period, but I have already finished the RAP, thanks to my mentor, Irwin, from “The Learning Luminarium” (similarly as the fellow student above)
Regardless to my result, I am so happy and lucky to have Irwin as my mentor. I have learnt so much from him during the RAP! His professionalism, experience, his commitment to guide me and to improve every single detail in my research made a huge difference.
I highly can recommend him and “The Learning Luminarium”!
Dear Kairat,
I am extremely thankful for the kind testimonial. I must say that it was a great pleasure being your mentor. I think I learnt as much from you, as you feel you did from me.
May the OBU degree be a great stepping stone for you in your dreams to get your Masters or MBA!
Irwin
The Learning Luminarium
Dear Bolage,
You are the first student to ever thank me BEFORE you even know your results! Thanks for the great vote of confidence and I am sure you will do very well for this sitting.
No other student has ever assimilated 42 sources into one graph. Your tenacity and rigor will get you far.
Irwin
The Learning Luminarium
Hello
I would definitely recommend the Learning Luminarium to anyone seeking to do their OBU RAP. My mentor was Irwin who gave very good guidance and support. He was quick in responding to my emails and always followed up to see how I'm progressing. I was successful in my first attempt and I have never attempted any kind of research project before. Thanks Irwin!! Thanks Learning Luminarium!!
Hi,
Based on Open Tuition's recommendation and the testimonies of many fellow students on this forum, I decided to use TLL for mentorship: I must say that I have no regrets. I took the early bird, platinum package and I was assigned Irwin as my mentor. He is the best mentor any student could ever hope to have. He is very professional, patient, supportive and can truly empathize with the issues that many students face. The best part about TLL is that they lived up to their promises. Irwin was always prepared and available to answer any questions in a timely, clear and knowledgeable fashion.
This was my first time undertaking a project of this nature and I was able to submit it with confidence because he motivated, challenged and guided me to produce a report at the highest standard I am capable of. I am eagerly awaiting results in March 2017, but in the mean time I want to say thanks to Open Tuition and to all those who took the time to post their experiences, for introducing me to TLL.
And special thanks to Irwin at TLL for the sterling service...
Krystal
Hi, can I know which package you guys chosen?
Other than meeting, students still can ask any question via email and they will still reply right?
Platinum Package is quite expensive. Premium Package is equally effective?
Hi Leewen,
The main differences between the packages are the number of meetings (3 for the premium package and 5 for the platinum), the recording of meetings (for the platinum package) and a review by a second mentor (platinum package). Students do well with either package as they have differing needs. Write to us at [email protected], and we'll be happy to assist you with your choice of packages.
We are also running an early bird discount of 15% for all mentorship starting now and to be completed by 31 March 2017. That might help with the pricing!
Regards,
Adrian Tan
Learning Luminarium
Dear Prospect OBU students,
let me follow up on my previous post I made in September. That time I thought that my OBU RAP results are irrelevant to be thankful to my mentor, Irwin, for all his diligent and professional mentoring he gave to me. We was there every time I had a question, and his personality turned this "must pass" project into an exciting learning experience. I have learnt so much from him and with him.
Today morning, the results for the 33rd Submission period was released, and I have passed (at the first attempt) with an A.
If you have no mentor yet, or you have no idea where to find a professional mentor, I would like to recommend you Irwin at the Learning Luminarium. As I know he has limited seats for students, but if you are luck maybe he can accept you as a mentee.
Good luck to every student, and thanks again Irwin for everything!
My mentor was Irwin from Learning Luminarium and I would definitely say that every buck is worth.
When I started my RAP I was really shaky as I didnt know how to proceed with blank page in front of me, but Irwin really helped me to go through this phase with his professional expertise, and today I graduated with First Class degree, Grade B, in first attempt.
Failed my RAP but from what i am reading on this forum my confidence is back that i will resubmit a successful project. surely i will enroll with Learning Luminarium.
I passed today with a grade B and first class honours, Trephena's recommendation of the Learning Luminarium was crucial to this success- because Irwin was truly an incredibly earnest and highly experienced Mentor. I pestered him with endless emails and he never once failed to respond- all the time encouraging me to better my project. Honestly, I've seen other mentors who charge much more and lack the experience or conviction to deliver an honest service like TLL.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great, supporting mentor who'll lead you right from the start to the finish line.

Yes!!!
I have passed RAP with grade B in first attempt.. Thank Irwin for his patience and guidance!!
He is a very nice and patience mentor, always guiding me to the right track and ensure I have get the important point. When I have facing any problem, he has respond to my question very fast..
Thus, I highly recommended Irwin from "The Learning Luminarium" as RAP mentor..
Best luck to those who is taking RAP too.. :)
I have just submitted my Report and I am quite confident that I will pass. I failed the last time. Without knowledge of a forum like this, I blindly choose one mentor suggested my college. He was very passive on replying to my queries that resulted in an emphasis on finishing within the deadline rather than quality of the report.
After my Opentution discovery, I used their recommended mentor, The Learning Luminarium and I got the best mentor (Irwin).I got replies for all my queries within an hour and I nagged him again and again, a thumbs up for his patience. He pushed me towards finishing my report ahead of time, which I thought I couldn't achieve as I just started a month ago. I already feel that my hard work will pay off :)
The best advice I can give is choose your mentor wisely, it makes a lot of difference in your report.
