Where does the msc show up in myacca? They said it’s been uploaded to honours but I don’t see it
April 16, 2020 at 3:12 pm #568460Hi,
I’m planning to study MSC course from UOL and since i’m an ACCA member so i had to opt for pathway 2. I’ve couple of question before i can take a final decision:-
1- will it be possible to manage both the modules i.e GIFP and strategic financial project along with the job?
2- are both the modules mainly based on dissertations? Just like the one submitted for Bsc OBU?
3- are there any benefits of opting for this course? Can anyone who have done this course share the coursework and dissertations already submitted So i can have a better idea of this course?
Email: anasilyas321@gmail.com
Thanks
April 24, 2020 at 10:16 pm #569173Hi Guys,
If you complete MSc from UoL with Pathway 1 options (ACCA student), does that exempt you from two professional/advanced papers or the exam you wrote for MSc is considered to be the ones you wrote for 2 remaining professional/advanced papers. In other words, what is mentioned in your ACCA transcript, the marks you obtained form the the exam you wrote for MsC or the word “exempt”?
April 25, 2020 at 4:13 pm #569217hello everyone!
Has anyone registered for the master’s programme pathway 2 starting in July 2020? let me know so we could share some ideas and perhaps study together
I decided to do both modules simultaneously, since I am not working currently.
I feel a bit nervous and excited for this new challenge. 🙂 we’ll see how it goes 🙂For those who have already started or ever finished this journey:
Do you know when I supposed to get access to the modules’ content and learning materials on my VLE? or is it at the time the course will start?Any tips how to prepare for this programme as non-native English speaker?
And how many worlds in total do you need to write (including all submissions)?
May 2, 2020 at 12:14 am #569741Hey Aniak,
I am doing pathway 2 in July 2020 also. I moved from parthway 1 to 2, since I’ve become a member now. Anyway, it is a bit time demanding cause there is a lot to read and the approach is really academic. I think we should get an email in June about access and stuff.
Keep us posted also.
Thanks,
ED

I think it’s best to contact the uni, and ask them or maybe there is some info on the website already.
Which module are you starting in July?

How did you get on with Pathway 1? I bet there is a lot of studying required. I’m trying to prepare somehow for this programme. I bought a few books which I hope will help me with this academic writing. lol 😀
Are you also doing both modules in July, or one at a time?

May 17, 2020 at 11:28 pm #571153i found pathway 1 challenging, esp the exam part which I failed. I did well with the courseworks though. I decided not to continue cause I was struggling to prepare for the exam. The whole process is really educational and I learned a lot from the experience. I am sure parthway 2 will also be challenging but I think I am ready, cause at least, I am doing it only as an additional credential to the ACCA membership rather than aiming to achieve both with pathway 1. There was a lot more pressure.
I am only doing Global Issues module in July. There’s a lot of reading involved and I am not sure if I have the energy and time to do two modules at the same time, but it is possible to do both.

I know that if I do them both at the same time with work and audit falling in, specially at January madness, my brain would be exploded XD

Is anyone able to assist me with the following questions that I have with regards to the Msc. I did try to contact the University but I am still waiting for their response and the registration deadline is in a few days times
My questions are as follows
1) Is the module in Global Finance Issues module done at the same time as the Strategic Financial Project
2) Does full payment have to be made at the time of registration
3) Can this qualification be completed within 6 months whilst being employed in a full time role
4) Are there module guides so that I can understand what is required of me for each module to assess how to plan my study time
5) How do tutors provide support considering students are located internationally within different time zones
6) Are exam dates fixed or flexible and can a student opt when they would like to sit for their next exam
7) For the Pathway 2 option – are exams written for both modules or how are these modules assessed
8) Please advise what induction courses will be done from 15 June to 22 June and how long these will take to complete? Thanks and looking forward to your responses

Have you done all the ACCA papers?
Have you been on one of their webinars on last week or at May? All your questions were answered there.
No exams is the answer— only assignments and coursework.June 20, 2020 at 11:08 am #574326Hello everyone

September 17, 2020 at 9:43 am #585891Hi all the seniors,
May someone provide me with the best choice if I were to choose a further study route.
Shall I go Master UOL or Oxford Brooke ?
Benefit : I had a Degree from Oxford Brooke which meant I would get a discount.
But Oxford brooke are not exempt from CPA Australia but UOL master will be exempted. I’m not intending for CPA aust but in doubt Oxford brooke is not recognized ?
As both are master qualification if I choose to Oxford Brooke cost will be less compared to UOL.Thanks and best regards,
