I was so worried after not doing a section C question and messing up the group SOFP but thank god I passed with 63%. All the credit goes to Opentution and the amazing lecturers. 6 exams self studied using Opentution starting last February and all 6 passed first attempt. Good luck to everyone!
Tthuy5y ago#4
Many thanks to Chris and Opentuition. Would I have not passed without the knowledge I learned from you!
MMo5y ago#5

@cadhakan Hey here u are,,,I told u I'll update u.Yes I passed ?.For FR it's all practice.Practicing is key because section C usually has basicly same scenerio question and so u will apply it through out when u have a good practice.FR is actually an in depth of FA so it's really similar.Hope u passed in FM and F5.

Thank you open tuition for the lectures. I passed with 58% - so happy about it! Warm regards.

Passed with 76%, happy with that result! Glad to see so many others on here with pass marks!

@balleith Hey congratulations am very happy for you. I failed in PM with 45% as I have transfer pricing question which was very difficult for me and also left question 20 marks on that topic because of time management. And FM I scored 49% which is very difficult for me to digest.... I am so worried. Feeling so demotivated.. no mood nothing at all. Please need some guidelines regarding PM and FM too . As I find FM paper was not so tough I got in section c NPV and working capital qstns ... I think I failed because of Sec b only. Which I find quite time consuming to understand the qstn... so I just mark randomly in Sec b qstns.... btw good to hear u pass. Enjoy your day. Which paper next you will do??nevermind I will give again FM March 2021 I am reading all comments from the people who passed with 70%. How u can do?? Can you please share your strategy to pass.

Congrats everyone! What advice would you give to a student planning to sit for the FR exam. Any tips and tricks? I see a couple of people have scored more than 70% it would be great if you could give me some advise. Thanks in advance

I passed with 65- pleased :) Was convinced I failed
VVijay5y ago#21
Thanks OT. Passed with 75% first attempt. Used the OT notes and lectures along with the BPP revision kit which I went through 4 time! Practice is the key. Onto F9 and SBL in the March sitting.
Nnebahat5y ago#22
Congrat!! how did you do it what is your techniqe, even you are saying you did not do question in C??
DDan5y ago#23
If you focus on the Sec C questions, consolidated financial statements etc to get the most from the 20 markers you will be able to use that knowledge to answer Sec A & B.
MMo5y ago#25
@cadhakan Hi cadhakan Yes i'm living in Singapore as I never went to Kaplan, it may somebody who looks like me ? All you need that are the lectures of FR on opentuition and practice questions on BPP/Kaplan book. For me, I used BPP revision kit. Any further advice you might contact with me via [email protected]

Can I review my exam?
GGitaSupporter5y ago#28
Fail mark 44, ACCA never allows me to pass first time, I always get something around 40 first time even if I do not study much, really gutted this time because practiced over 300 exam questions and was so confident about section C questions I did in the exam!
GGitaSupporter5y ago#29
I think it's also luck... I did around 20 random practice questions for TX first time and got 44 mark, and now I did over 300 practice questions for FR and got same 44 first time!
MMELISSA5y ago#30
Got my results 8PM Sunday (Caribbean Time) Pass with 50. Honestly, thought I had failed this exam and was mentally getting ready to re-write. I was so grateful to see "Pass". It is my lowest score thus far but it is a Pass. Thank you God, open tuition and my lecturer A. Kamalodeen.
MMona5y ago#31
@danACCA Congrats on passing the exam and scoring 76% do you have any tips and tricks for other students who are planning to sir FR
GGitaSupporter5y ago#32
I am sure ACCA is a cause of some suicides around the world, the journey is very demotivating and crash of confidence to many people...
KLKoay Lay Lin5y ago#33
Passed my first ACCA exam paper with 58%. keep going as it always seems impossible until it's done. :)
EEcaterina5y ago#34
I passed with 65 FR United Kingdom. I thought I failed. Could not be happier! Over the moon! Lectures here are wonderful. I had problems with BPP -there were discrepancies in material-not all of my questions have been answered by them. I found Kaplan Book with question bank to be really helpful.
