Thank you Mike, I passed the LW(Glo) Exam a week ago with 56%...self-studied for only one week (Although it's definitely not recommended) using only the Opentuition notes, BPP Passcards and Revision Kit. Some advices I can give from my personal experience: Firstly, is to sleep well. Get atleast a good 6 hour sleep prior to the exam day. I slept for only 2 hours that night due to stress and believe me I know I could have done much better that day. Secondly, practice all questions in the Revision Kit. I didn't use any study text nor learnt all notes by heart. The key to passing the exam is knowing how to tackle the questions as the latter can be very tricky. (A small word can change the whole meaning of the question, thus the answer as well). Third and lastly, attempt a mock exam one or two days before your exams. It might seem demotivating if ever you fail it (Believe me I failed with 48%) but atleast you would get an idea about where you're standing and which chapters you're having difficulties.

Well done Sakshee, and I agree totally with your three recommendations … although I believe that even 6 hours sleep is not enough - my recommendation would be to aim for at least 8 hours As for your preparation time of just one week … what can I say? I certainly would not join you with that if you were recommending it. Of course, a lot depends on other elements of one's life that could be distractors. If there's nothing to get in the way of studying, then maybe one week is sufficient to squeeze past this exam but anyone with ambitions higher then mid-fifties would need to spend rather longer Nevertheless, well done indeed. On now to the next level :-)

Failed with 49% just some time before. Would it be recommended to get the administrative review done ??? If not any advice for the re-examination. Thanks
MikeLittleMikeLittleTutor6y ago#34
Absolutely not! In all my years of teaching I have NEVER heard of a student that had their exam result changed. NEVER Advice? Open that Revision kit and start going through the questions again and then, when you've finished all the questions, do them all again I don't remember you ever posting any questions on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum but it's clear that you didn't understand everything that you studied … so where were your questions? We are here to help you but we can't do that unless you tell us that you need help! OK?

Your videos were really helpful for some topics I did not get an understanding of and also for those that were just too boring to be read from the book only. Just passed it yesterday. Thank you!!

Hello Mike, Just had the first attempt of my LW (Eng) exam this afternoon. I found the exam a bit tricky while I was doing it as the questions were not straight forward. I had used the Opentuition website and BPP exam kit to prepare for the exam for the past 11 week. I scored 70% and I am very happy with the result. Thank you so much for your explanations and advice. Now off to make my donation and start getting ready for my next paper. Good Luck to everyone.

hi! i had my LW-GLO yesterday, remotely and I also found the questions tricky and different from the way they were in the Revision kit of BPP. while with the questions from the revision kit and i-pass i always got more then 85% in the exam i got 71. Good that i passed and in the end it's more important to know what i learned for myself, but i was surprised.

I have my Lw(glo) exam on Monday 23rd November. Any last-minute tips would be highly appreciated as this is my first exam for ACCA. I have gone through OT notes and Videos(Not thoroughly), I have also completed the Kaplan and bpp revision kit many times. Please any remarks or guidance would be highly valued.

That should be enough to give you a fighting chance of a good pass

Thank you.

Hi, i just gave my lw(glo) paper yesterday. Alhamdulillah, I passed with 73%. First and foremost ThankYou Sir Mike for your amazing lectures and notes. although my passing percentage would look good to the majority of people but let me add, *it was a struggle*. I was doing a revision kit every day and the point came where I memorized the questions, but that didn't prove to be any benefit to me. I would recommend students to go through the lectures and notes very thoroughly(i say this because I didn't spend much time on them). Thank you sir mike again Regards Abdulla

hananfawad wrote:Can you tell me what was the preparation process like
The following is an advice from the expert @MikeLittle himself https://opentuition.com/topic/preparing-for-f4-cbe-exam/ It's a classic and this advice is gold! Anyone and everyone who has asked me about LW exam preparation, this is what I share with them. I implemented it and got an easy pass with 60+ scores.
hananfawad wrote:How did you prepare for it, I have exam on Monday
However, if your exam is on this Monday, that is, 21st December (tomorrow) and NOT next week...then I would say, 'sit back and relax'. No need to panic a day before exam. You must have prepared well so have self-confidence. Quickly scan through the questions you have practised, if you need to. Good luck for your exam! Hope that helps.

I passed first time my ACCA Corporate and Business Law exam (score 62%) yesterday evening at ECAM, Freetown, Sierra Leone only with the help of OpenTuition and through self study. I passed the exam using your video lectures, lectures notes, flash cards, practice questions and series of mock exams max. 10, together with Kaplan and BPP revision kits. Also, I used ACCA's examiner reports, technical articles and past paper based exam questions from June 2011-December 2014. I want to use this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the good work you are doing. Mike thanks so much for your wonderful lectures. May God bless your institution. Kind regards!

I passed first attempt my ACCA Corporate and Business Law - English (score 62%) yesterday evening at ECAM, Freetown Sierra Leone. Thanks to OpenTuition for providing free ACCA videos, notes and other related materials and my sincere thanks and appreciation to Mike Little. I was able to pass the exam after going through your video lectures, lecture notes, practice questions, flash cards, technical articles and series of mock exams. This was coupled with Kaplan and BPP revision kits, ACCA technical articles, ACCA on-line CBE specimen exam, Examiner reports and past paper based exam questions from June 2011 - December 2014. My opinion is that it takes practice to pass an exam and practice upon practice. May God bless your institution for such a good venture. Kind regards!
