Only shareholders can remove auditors from office by ordinary resolution passed in a general meetings (i.e. 50% of votes). Yes 28 days is LW-ENG/GLO - so can be considered assumed knowledge. However, number of days will not be examined in AA as it is a "global" exam with no variants - in this lecture it just serves to illustrated that there is a process for the removal of auditors - there is no "summary (instant) dismissal" of auditors such as might be possible for employees.

shouldn't shareholders be the only one to remove auditors form office? Although directors can be delegated the task of appointment of auditors, ultimately shareholders are the responsible for the appointment. And also about the 28 days notice, is it taken from Corporate Law? Cause i didn't see the notice period in chapter 2 on study hub (maybe it's in later chapters?)
    Your response would be appreciated.

When the auditors resign and the new auditors ask for information about the company, are the resigning auditors allowed to furnish any information without the client's consent?
  6. Gayathri
    Depends on the information

When is the examination for F8. I want to start the course now. Please reply is urgent.
  17. KimTutor
This thread is for comments on the lecture - please use the relevant forum to ask other questions.

For information about ACCA exams (there is no longer "F8" - it became AA nearly two years ago) I suggest you start with this page https://www.accaglobal.com/hk/en/student.html - you can navigate to exam dates using the link to exams on the left hand side

Are these up to date for March Exams?
  19. KimTutor
Yes - and nothing has changed in respect of this syllabus area for some time - so if you remember your knowledge of company law from LW/F4 this should be a quick revision.

Sir companies that are operating in different countries should follow the guidelines stated by IAASB or should they follow the guidelines stated under their concerned national legislation??
  25. khalil786
    Hello Sir

if I study only these notes, is this enough to pass the paper?

are these notes OK for March 2019 attempt.?
  26. MohamedSupporter
Trust me. Open tuition notes, lectures and a revision kit from either kaplan or BPP is enough to pass this exam well. i managed to get very good grades with this approach.

    Sir,

What happens with the reappointment of Auditors at every AGM, if they were contracted for a fixed period of time, e.g. 5 years contract?
  28. kengarrettTutor

Thank you for the lecture Sir.

I am reading a material that says that on resignation, the auditors also need to send A written Notice & Statement of Circumstance to members and creditors of the company.

    Is this correct please?
  35. Mahrukh
Are the rights & duties of an auditor examinable in a seperate question, if yes, can we write a general answer to it, as they are different in every jurisdiction, is it necessary to write in exam according to UK legislation?
