I currently have a 2019 edition of the Kaplan Law textbook. Can it help me strengthen my knowledge as I am going through the provided lectures, or should I purchase the latest Kaplan/BBP textbook?

I would suggest you use the lectures and accompanying notes as the major component and backbone of your study. By and large a lot of the information in the study text will still be accurate. A bigger danger is getting bogged down in the amount of information given in the study text. I would encourage you to attempt questions using up to date practice and revision guide as well as other resources on this site and the ACCA study hub.
