    hi sir

    i am a little bit confused with a task

    i know that when we prepare cash flow statement we take short term investment into account in the investing activity, is not it?

    in a task, it is stated that short term investment is 50000 usd, and it is highly liquid and is closed to maturity.

    i look at the solution of the task, but they have not taken the short term investment into account not only in investing activity but also in anywhere. why? is it because of maturity?

    could you explain comprehensively pls?

    This sounds to me like a “cash and cash equivalent”

    Check the closing cash and cash equivalent balance (the last figure in the statement of cash flows) and you’ll probably find it there
