Hello Sir,
I have a 2013 Emile Woolf study text which my friend gave me… So i want to know whether there has been any significant change in syllabus since then to know if I can still use it…
January 15, 2015 at 6:02 am #222668you can use it…. i’m having problems solving questions God help us
January 15, 2015 at 8:14 am #222695Allwell is correct – you can use the 2013 Study Text.
However, if you watch all our free lectures (together with our Lecture Notes) then you do not really need a Study Text.
What is much more essential is that you have a Revision/Exam Kit because they are full of exam standard questions to practice on, and practice is vital. Here you DO need a current edition because although the syllabus has not changed, the format of the exam has changed and there is now a section with multiple choice questions.
If you are having problems solving questions then ask in this Ask the Tutor Forum and I will try and help.

January 27, 2015 at 6:02 am #223872sir is the lecture and notes provided by opentuition enough to clear the acca exams or should i go for face to face coaching?
January 27, 2015 at 7:54 am #223893The lectures and notes are certainly good enough, provided that you also have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers (they contain lots of exam standard questions to practice on, and practice is vital.)
February 13, 2015 at 5:29 am #228202What are main key theory behind the whole syllabus in f5.means that what we want to understand from f5.
February 13, 2015 at 7:32 am #228211U need to understand every thing in f5 its a very challenging paper.
By the way try to focus on performance management question especially.February 13, 2015 at 9:42 am #228232Locoloj:
There is no ‘main key theory’ behind F5. There are 4 main syllabus areas (each containing several topics) and each area is given equal weighting in the exam. There is no alternative but to study the entire syllabus because everything is asked (especially now that section A is MCQ’s).
Soooraj says to focus on performance management especially – since the whole paper is called performance management, that is certainly true!!!
I think he/she means performance measurement, which is one of the 4 syllabus areas and is therefore important, but again the exam gives equal weighting to each of the syllabus areas. There will be no more (and no less) on performance measurement that on the other areas. (I have just returned from an ACCA conference for tuition providers and the F5 examiner made this last point very clearly.) - AuthorPosts
