Strategic choices in P5

Dear Tutor, In a P5 case study, they normally indicate in passing what strategy is being pursued. Are we expected to know the three generic strategies only (cost leadership, differentiation, focus) or are we expected to know the grand strategies as well? Thanks.

You are certainly expected to know the generic strategies. I have never heard of a 'grand strategy'.
