My friend in recent attempt was referred to ACO, and had 25-35% matching. He accepted his mistake in first e-mail, and the investigator gave him least penalty, no fine nothing. Just a re-submission fee. Regards. Ehsan

Some cases are more complex than others and sometimes other students may be implicated so they are waiting to compare responses and someone’s case is always going to be last. So 2 months though a target is an average. I think you will just have to sit it out and expect it may be at least another week or 10 days before you get a follow up from them. However you could send a polite enquiry as a reminder…"

Thanks for your guidance, your guidance give me support ,as since my RAP is refer to ACO i am mentally upset there for i was unable to do my job properly. So i decided to take holidays. I am unable to do any thing properly, every signal night i wake up to sea whether i get any response or not . Can you imagun i was checking every 4th minutes my email. So as when the last email i got from ACO after 4th minutes i was checking my email. Any way i will wate 10 days more. But thanks for your guidance.

Please advic ACO is issue a letter in which she clearly stste You have no case for answer the question. I will said to head office to release your result ? Only 25% plagiarism we found it is due to resubmi. So please tell me every thing is one now . Thanks for guiding every signal question.

That's good. It seems your case may have been concluded. However could you copy and paste her actual words as I want to be absolutely certain as I don't understand the English in the sentence: "So please tell me every thing is one now ?"

Guys i want to ask i am going to resubmit my protect i want to ask do i need to change my financial statements data from 2014 2015 2016 to 2015 2016 2017 or not? Problem is i have to make some changes to my project because when my result released it identified problem with my references and also the colour of graph of both companies were same and i have to make appropriate changes now i am confused if i update my financial data will it cause me a problem or not please help me i am confused

The rules were changed a year or two back and now provided you are resubmitting within 4 periods of your first submission you do NOT have to update your resubmission and include the very latest financial information. Of course if you want to update then you can, it is your decision. I think if it were me it would depend on what weaknesses I had failed on. If it was evaluation then I think it would be easier doing a better evaluation using the latest info so in that case I would revise and update In your case this doesn't seem to be the issue. Can't you just reformat the graphs? Provided also you can do referencing to the required standard (see Appendix 3 of the Information Pack and our 'Open Tuition Ultimate Guide to Referencing your RAP' - the link to latter is on our homepage) then there may be no particular need to rewrite your work.

Hi sir/mam I want to ask that are WhatsApp messages with mentor while making project are important evidence? because my phone was broken approxomately 2 weeks earlier and I am unable to restore my WhatsApp chat with my mentor.and as you know I am resubmitting the improved version of my project that is why I will send only one email in November which will contain my final project for final review.now I want to ask is single email containing my final project for final review is enough for evidence or should I send my mentor multiple emails containing my project at multiple stages?2 I have screenshot of my chat with my mentor are screenshots of WhatsApp are enough evidence? Because as I already know how a project is made already that is why I have not contacted my mentor since early July and I will not contact him until I send my project for final review.so please guide me is my approach regarding contacting my mentor is right or should I contact him more frequently? Please help me because I don't want my project reffered to ACO and if it gets reffered I want to have clear and sufficient evidence so I don't get in trouble. You will only end up as an ACO case if there is doubt about the authenticity of your work. It is always good to have a couple of emails to and from your mentor which show how you developed your work. Normally for example there will be a draft from you and a document that updates the draft with some comments or a separate sheet of comments appended to the email back. I would have expected the communication between a student and mentor to comprise more than a few WhatsApp chat messages however if you are resubmitting then possibly there might not be the need for much in the way of emails it you worked on together in a previous period. I realise that as you were an ACO case previously of course you are worried again but from the messages you posted it was mainly your SLS that was the problem. The SLS is something the student should be doing without the mentor as it involves reflecting on their own development and learning. If you ensure that you do this for yourself based on your own learning and development experience there really should not be a problem - the issues arise when students take ideas and sentences from an other student's work as clearly it is not their own self-reflection then. Please instead of worrying about something that may never happen focus on making improvements to your work

Thanks mam the reason for my questions was my mentor has told me that I should only send one email to him and that is for final review only because i am resubmitting and I already worked with him . And I was confuse is one email enough or not? Furthermore I will submit my project after checking it on write check so the problem which happened earlier will not happen again.

Also there are some things I forgot to tell you 1 I have screenshots of my WhatsApp chat , messages and call records with my mentor because for keeping my self safe whenever I contacted him I also took a screenshot and uploaded it on my drive . I am unable to backup my WhatsApp app and messages on my new mobile but thankfully I had my screenshots on drive which I can send as an evidence if needed. 2 I am using the same mentor for my resubmission and due to this he has suggested me to send him only one email containing all my files for final review only 3 I am updating my whole project for eg Financial analysis containing updated year etc to make sure I get obu bsc this time . 4 mam once my project is finalized I will check it on write check and tell you the result and consult you about it before submission. Good that you amending your work. Focus too on addressing the marker feedback as you will be expected to have improved all the areas mentioned in the feedback. If you are concerned about plagiarism then yes you could use Writecheck however you need to understand how this program works. As you are resubmitting it would be normal for WriteCheck to pick up matches to your earlier work so do not be alarmed! However what you need to do then is look at the Turnitin report (I presume the ACO sent you this?) and ensure that the passages highlighted on the Turnitin report are not also highlighted again on the WriteCheck report . As it seems that you had previous issues with the SLS you need to ensure that the WriteCheck report shows few matches with anything (apart from perhaps the 4 Questions and the odd few phrases here and there). So don't concern yourself with points 1 & 2 rather focus on the report analysis, feedback and any areas of weakness the marker highlighted. Then allow plenty of time to analyse any issues from the WriteCheck report. So my advice is to finish your work and put it through a WriteCheck at least 2 weeks before submission otherwise you may not have the time to chance things

Thank you very much mam from your response I have kept in mind to complete my work before October 10 and will check it on write check before 15 October to make sure I can make changes in my work if required now one last question which I want to ask ? Please answer it and all doubts in my mind will be cleared 1 I use my brother laptop for making my project I also use it in my earlier project. Now I came to know from a friend that every file which is saved on a computer has username in it's properties now I want to ask will it cause me a problem or not? If yes should I email obu about it or should I mention about it in my sls or resubmission report or should I ignore it as stated above I made my old project on the same laptop? Please reply as soon as possible I will be thankful to you

If it wasn't raised as an issue last time then stop worrying about it! I use various devices myself, two of which have been given to me by my partner so my files either show my name or 'user' depending on which they were written on. This is probably very normal these days and on its own is not going to cause issues

Thanks mam now I am tension free the only issue which was raised in my previous project was some part of my sls was matched with someone as I told you in my previous posts and I got zero graded. That is why I will use write check this time to verify this doesn't happen again also to address the marker issues I am writing my rap completely new containing my old company and topic containing updated financial year for financial analysis etc to improve my grammar composition of English and structure of my rap furthermore I also believe using updated financial year will reduce my write check plaegeurism score Plus I also consult you also look on other websites to remove any doubt in my mind regarding questions about submission that is why thank you very much for help you have released my mind from any tension I will also ask you if I have any other questions in my mind in future

Mam as sls should my true experience in making the project that is why I am also discussing about my disability in it.Now the question which I want to ask is when I submit my project this November should I submit my disability certificate and I'd card picture with it or not? Normally allowance for disability for the RAP and the SLS only extends to dyslexia. However if generally there is a particular reason to bring a disability to the marking team's attention e.g. possibly in relation to challenges in coping with the RAP requirements or the effect of ill health impacting on achieving objectives and you are mentioning these in the SLS then you could include relevant medical documents. This seems to be what you are doing so include the medical certificate as an appendix as evidence of your condition.

Mam I don't have dyslexia I have a disability due to cerebral palasy should I discuss it in my sls ?

Please find attached a letter, which is self-explanatory. Please respond to my email address. Please do not contact the ACCA office at Oxford Brookes as they are not involved in this process at all and will, therefore, be unable to assist you. The office will release your results as soon as possible.

It looks like a standard letter when your work has been referred for consideration by the marking team to the Academic Conduct Office. It refers to a second letter "Please find attached a letter, which is self-explanatory. Please respond to my email address" so presumably sets out the details about your referral. Pending an investigation your result is deferred which means that only after the ACO has completed this investigation will your result be released. So then you will find out whether it has passed or failed. If the investigation shows that you have breached the student academic regulations then a penalty can be imposed dependent on what the infringement was but can be the work is given a 'zero grade' which means a fail for everything (but is still counted as a submission attempt). Sometimes too a penalty resubmission fee is imposed -normally double the standard amount so over GBP 600 for the next submission

the letter states the following : 'Having closely examined the evidence available to me, i have concluded that the similarities between you and the other student may have been caused by you giving access to your work, which is bad academic practice. However, Im able to inform you that you have been exonerated and i will advising the admin office to release your result.' Does this mean I can still fail?

It means precisely what it says - the ACO Officer has decided that this is bad academic practice. Your result will be released - the officer appears not to have changed the grade but until the result is released you will not know whether it is a pass or a fail. (If it is a fail you will be given the marker feedback in the normal way and if it is a pass you will eventually receive your certificate).
