Very tough exam! Section C's were investment appraisal and then Gearing / Interest cover. These were ok but multiple choice both section A &B killed me! I done so many practice questions & mock exams and did not feel the exam reflected the level of difficulty. Need a miracle to scrap 50% but will probably have to retake.

This was also a repeat for me having failed on 48% in June, I thought this was an awful paper, section C no WACC at all in any section of the paper, you would at least have expected it to come up as a 10-mark question if it didn't come up in section C. It nearly like they want you to have to repeat. Section A and B I agree with most that half of the questions didn't even know what they were looking for. Spent more time trying to understand the question than answering. And although I did quite a bit on hedging the question asked was so confusing for 2 marks. I feel I have probably done worse in the one that the June one. Very disappointed overall. Not sure if I will repeat again. Thats how I feel today.

I did IT retailer too but when I got home so I think and maybe supermarket is the best choice. Retailer is known for its cash on counter sale so it is next to possible for credit sale for him.

Stay strong buddy, you did your best and thats all matters now I am in a some what similar situation, this is my resit for June - 43 marks ... this time I really did study every thing .. I was so ready for the exam and I though I will score at least 60 marks .. until I saw the exam now I just hope to get passing marks. and yes the June exam question were fair and understandable, in this Sep exam looks alot of people are suffering from not understanding the question.

Hey, yes, I got this q, together with NPV as a second q in Sec c. I though this question was very similar to La Forge from the exam kit, different requirement though. The q asked to comment on whether the company should choose to get loan or rights issue (right?) base don calcs in previous parts and other relevant calcs? Did you go to calc EPS for the loan and rights issue? I didn't and now think that maybe should have ..

I do not think so that we were able to find Shares. We were only given equity and amount to get from Finance. We were not given TERP or issue price to find shares after issue. Do you remember how you found number of shares through right issue?
Nnelva3y ago#48
Do you get the negative or positive NPV ?
Nnelva3y ago#49
I also got the positive NPV?
