SBR[POLL] Paper P2 Exam results and Genius Hunt

well done to everyone who passed and especially to those who are now affiliates, I plan to sit P2 in June, i sat irish variant F7 in December 2010 with 50 and now have to sit international in June. any tips on study approach would be great. I hope to bag this in June and my final two options in December!

did anyone find find the move from F7 Irish to P2 Int tricky or are they similar enough?

It was very challenging one but 57 marks! Now 2 to go.

TO be honest I’m quite disgusted with the examiners. I managed to scrape home with a 52% in my second attempt, and to be frank I should have scored much higher. I answered every question well, and performed well, but yet got 52% whereas last time out left an entire question out and managed 44%.

I’m having serious doubts to the validity and fairness of the marking by the examiners, and I’m almost certain each paper isn’t marked completely independent of others, which is why we never get a 90% pass rate or a 10% pass rate. Too much politics is involved, and I’m contemplating quitting, because I just haven’t got time to work so hard, and not get fully rewarded for it.

On a side issue, I completely understand people mentioning their religious beliefs in some of their posts. But I think it’s quite disrespectful as there are many people here with different religious beliefs, and it leaves a sour taste for people who didn’t pass and are browsing these comments, especially as they might be religious too. I wish people would be a little more thoughtful, and express their joy in a suitable manner.

I wish people would stop mentioning religious things like Allah on here. This is a professional qualification and nothing to do with superstitious beliefs. They have no place in business.

You either work hard and pass, or you fail. There is no devine intervention. Ridiculous people.

Nice 51%! P1, P2, P3 all passed in one sitting Around 70% of people who have posted have passed, could just be that the happy people have come on and others cant bear to. Either way monumental effort people! Roll on june final 2 exams...

1st attempt, 53. I was giving up this exam and planned not to attend it. But at last, I still went for exam and I passed it! So, Never Give Up! Thanks God!!

57, 3rd time lucky. about bloody time!!! all i can say is if you failed learn a few topics for q4 and hope they come up, if i was stuck doing with q 2 and 3 in the exam ive no doubt id have failed again!

I took this exam 3 times, and passed on the third attempt with 50%. For me this is the hardest exam I have taken and the least enjoyable. The best advice that can be given is to keep practicing questions you can never do enough! I got lucky enough that the similar questions came up in the exam, just with different numbers. A lot of content in this exam can scare you off; D.Tax/Pensions/SBP are all tricky areas but you don't have to know them inside out. Get as much relevant information down as possible, and hopefully you will pick up enough marks.

Good luck to anyone who takes this paper (A certain element of luck is crucial!), it is by far the most frustrating paper i have ever taken.

Finally made it over the finishing line - my third attempt at P2 and I passed it with 50. I was convinced I'd have to do it again, had timetables printed off already for classes starting next week. I'm so relieved I won't have to go through with it again. This was the most horrible of all ACCA exams for me.

I was feeling very worried about this paper when leaving the exam it but came out with 69% - extremely happy :)

Passed with 50. It was my first attempt and couldn't believe it. Thought I was still dreaming as I checked the result in bed this morning.

Now time to get outta here and jump onto the forum for the next exam!

38% and it was my 2 nd attempt with 37% on the 1st try. but i will definitely take again this June. If you guys can pass it, so can I :).another 3 to go.

I give God the glory for getting 56%. First attempt.

First attempt, 1 week home studying, figured I had nothing to lose but to at least try - logged in this morning and 50% on the nose! I'm now done - just manually typing up the DTM stuff that I have on paper into the website so I can get membership. Happiest person in the world right now. Next with the degree - just need to figure out what to write about! ;)

39 % and I am Happy . Because I only attempt of 60 Marks . And scoring 39 out of 60 is Big achievement :D lol..

I'll study harder this time and Nail it :D

any one has any idea about ACCA medals?…i now have a 403 marks total for my professional stage exams.

I got 72%. Attempted 95% of exam (everything apart from pension part in Q1). Used videos, notes and Opentuition chatrooms to study. No text book, just exam kit.
