AA[POLL] Paper F8 Exam results and Genius Hunt

i failed .. i dont understand why..i knew almost everything. i wrote everything...i just dont get it. i worked very very very hard.

managed to get 56, though I was hoping for more than 70. Thank God I have passed on first attempt

43 Fail - I thought the paper was a walk in the park! Though passed F7 & F9 in same sitting. Maybe exams techniques or time allocation? i am not sure but open tuition you are the best! Keep up the good work

Passed with 59% on the second attempt. I'm convinced that switching to the Kaplan text and study kit did the trick. I do agree 100% though that ACCA needs to let students see their exam papers, so they know where they fell down and won't make the same mistakes when they resit.

passed with 51%, first attempt, although I was expecting over 70. Wrote everything and i knew all the subjects. This was one subject i really enjoyed very much, but apparently something was wrong and I would very much like to know what and why!
ACCA should allow students to see where they made mistakes, at least give a feedback if they won't allow students to see their exam paper.

only 48%. what a difference 2 more marks would have made. I too wish acca was more transparent as i want to to where i went wrong. I was pretty sure i could get this one.

I got 61. Sit for F8,F9 with high temperature due to acute viral infection. Thank Jesus I went through it. Wish all students who will be approaching F8 to get pass in June. Good luck.

pass... 53 marks.... but i forgot the number of attempt.... coz i retake this paper so many times, (since the last examiners, when it was still 2.6 @ at time) .... juz wanna thanks opentuition (for all notes & advise & forums)

hmmm its surprising, i thought i would pass but had 40 :(

I was reading certain comments where ACCA was being suggested to show the marked papers to the students... Which accountancy body does that? Also, I think ACCA gives you an option of getting your paper re-checked... Is that not true?

Anyone want to sell their f8 text book and exam kit? It has to be kaplan. If so please add me and send me a message. thanks

I had Emily Waldarf 2010 text book, BPP Exam Kit and 2 days before exam I was watching video lectures on opentuition - they are very short and up to the point - the thing you need for revision.

The trick is I think is to do as many practical questions as possible, reading just pure theory will not give u anything.
And of course ur logical thinking helps u a LOT!!!

79% in F8

was sure i had 60% atleast. Yet i failed this with 46%. Absolutley gutted

Was sure I passed, but got 49%. Can't believe it, this has to be rigged.

Total self study, passed first time with 69%, very pleased with myself and a big thank you to Opentuition, not sure I could have done it with out your help.

Passed with 74, a lot of people I studied with at Kaplan passed with lower than expected marks, seems to be a common theme.

Hi all, I am really happy to pass this exam, I was expecting aroung 70 but got 55, It was a very lengthy paper, last time pass rate was 40 which would be very difficult to match this time, I have moved to professional level now, wish me luck, I really want to thank opentuition for their help but I suspect their business model will change very soon. Goodluck to them too
