Hi,
Just need some clarification on the above – I have read that P5 is changing for 2013 June exam – does this apply to the syllabus/exam or both? If the syallabus is changing what are the changes? Do I need to get new books? I have read through the forum and can not seem to find a definitive answer.
Thanks.
February 21, 2013 at 8:36 am #118368The only thing that is changing is that the format of the paper will be a 50 mark case study in Part A then 2 from 3 questions at 25 marks each in Part B.
No changes of significance to the syllabus content.
February 21, 2013 at 4:22 pm #118424Thanks so much for the reply – the books I have at present are for 2010/2011 (I have been sick the last 18 mts so only getting back to it now) would I be better getting new books or are they ok to use do you think?
February 22, 2013 at 7:07 pm #118561I can’t quite remember when the syllabus changed, but P5 now contains Quality. This was moved from P3 to P5 so if you still have your P3 books you can use those to read up on quality without having to buy new books.

March 8, 2013 at 8:43 pm #119527No, the change is from June 2013. You can check this on the ACCA website: accaglobal.com, students, P5 syllabus and study guide.

section A is mainly computational and….
Mainly computational, does it mean that it is like from S.Johnson’s type of past year exam questionsMay 28, 2013 at 6:21 am #127406It means it will be like the ACCA’s pilot paper, available from their P5 section of their site.
