Hello,
I am just having a dilemma on what shall i used to prepaare for my final exams, as when i was comparing the open tuition notes and the study text and i noted that there are many information that is missing from the notes.
Can you please advise me on what will be better for preparing the AA exam.
Welcome back to my forum!
The key to success in any ACCA exam is question practice – so the question is – how quickly can you “study” the subject matter sufficiently to be able to attempt questions?
See here one student’s account of how they prepared for AA https://opentuition.com/topic/my-approach-towards-clearing-aa-with-85
Why not give our notes a try? Read the notes – listen to the lecture also if anything is not clear – then attempt the end of chapter practice questions … https://opentuition.com/acca/aa/aa-practice-questions … if you are getting these all correct – or understanding why you got some wrong (all have answer justifications) – you will be well on the way to tackling Section A Questions.
If you have any questions – ask me – I post answers every day.
If you have a text already you can use that as a reference.
If you prefer to plough your way through a 600 page text, that is entirely up to you – I remember studying for audit exams many years ago and it was very difficult to get beyond the “intro”/”background” chapters – to keep your interest in the subject matter, you need to keep moving forward and doing some activity – like the practice questions – after every chapter.
