Hello guys,
“Your Research and Analysis Project mark and, if applicable, your BSc in Applied Accounting award have not been released as your Research and Analysis Project has been sent to the Academic Conduct Officer (ACO) for further investigation.”
Although i did the thesis by myself, i am super worried. Is anyone else also facing the same issue? Can someone guide me on how to tackle this situation or if anyone has experience with such issue? Need some help please.
Located in Bahrain, I received my result last night at 21:30 GMT+3 (18:30 GMT). I’m surprised they sent the email out that early, but glad to inform that I passed!
I’m in the same situation – result withheld and sent to ACO
The entire work was mine but I did not include Declaration of Authenticity, might this be the problem?

I received the email saying i passed, but when i log in the portal it says not marked. Is this normal?
ACO – it means that your result is deferred pending further investigation.
Your report / presentation slide and/or SLS most likely showed too many similarities with another student’s work [past or present] and indicated some collusion / copying / plagiarism. Alternatively its content or style caused the marker to question whether it had been written by you [or the mentor / an academic paper writing service].
They will contact you in time to discuss and after then they will let you know the outcome and result.Did you directly copy and paste the contents of any external sources or projects of former OBU students into your RAP without paraphrasing the contents and making relevant citations? If so, the similarity rate arising after the paper being checked by turnitin is likely to be signiciantly high, giving a red flag for a potential plagiarism.
Be prepared to explain yourself and provide any necessary documentation proving that the work is original and authentic and completely your own work.
Anyone has idea how we can compute the GPA? Overall I got First Class Honors in first attempt, for the RAP a B grade. However I couldn’t find the GPA anywhere.
Most of the Job Applications and Joining forms request for GPA and not the class. If anyone has an idea please let me know.

I have failed the project with every section passed except SLS and examiner put the failure reason below ?
“You have made a promising start to the Skills and Learning reflection, but there is insufficient reflection on your actual experience. You list some skills and state what they are but not how you went about developing these skills. For example, research skills development: the reader would like to know the challenges faced in researching this topic. It is clear that you have gathered a good deal of information, but this would only be the start. Was all the information relevant, or did you have to focus? If so how did you achieve appropriate focus within the range of information gathered and select relevant information to combine into your research report?
The other skills lack an indication of how much they needed to be developed and how they were developed in much the same way as your discussion of research skills.
Try to include some more of your own self reflection and how you felt during the process of completing the project and how you dealt with problems”
