I doubt so, but most likely before the end of the day? I had once waited until evening of the actual day for my result of 1st attempt, which then I was informed that I failed.
Yes, OBU will provide you their comments on those areas that you have failed and areas that can be improved.

Me too, have no idea how the system works and why some will get earlier than the rest. is it because it is sent out based on the results of each individual that have been grouped together in one batch (e.g. 1 batch - 2nd Upper, 1 batch - 1st Class) ??
Most of my students are still waiting for their results umarkhan5 - patience is obviously something you still need to learn!

Just be patience, your results will come eventually.GillianM – OBU Registered Mentor wrote:Most of my students are still waiting for their results umarkhan5 – patience is obviously something you still need to learn!
Don’t think you can demand your results, and certainly not over here.
I get that waiting for it is horrible, I’ve been waiting since 12 am too and I think the batch system is implemented so that their systems can handle the amount of candidates.
Got the mail now. I've failed. I'm gutted, totally gutted. My mentor said it was one of the best projects she has seen and now this. I can't believe it
Got the results too, and it’s a fail…
I think it is probably done in order of marker returns and since apart from selecting a marker who is appropriate for the particular topic, reports are randomly allotted to markers. (These may well be in alphabetical order of the marker's name)
So if the marker your RAP was given to is last on the marker list you will be waiting longest and those who have heard were on the earlier marker returns
Any idea when we can know whether we failed the RAP or SLS?
Fresh from the oven, just received the result via email at 8:40am UK time / 3:40 pm my local time.
OBU submission portal is still 'Not Marked' status so don't bother go there.
I achieved A grade and awarded Upper Second Class.
Good luck to the rest.
Cheers.
doflamingo1 wrote:Any idea when we can know whether we failed the RAP or SLS?In a few days' time, they will send you a separate email to login the submission portal and download the feedback they gave you. From there, you are able to see which areas that you have failed (RAP, SLS).

Thanks! & congrats to everyone that passed
doflamingo1 wrote:Any idea when we can know whether we failed the RAP or SLS?My mail says failed to meet the standard for the RAP. The SLS isn't mentioned at all, so I assume I didn't make the grade on an area or certain areas of the RAP
Alhamdulliah i got my result and pass
Just received the email and I can't hide my joy as I passed with a First class honours. This was my second attempt on a new topic and organisation and my ACCA average mark was 67.5. Topic 1 for that matter.
Congratulations! to all who passed and commiserations to those who failed and take your time to reflect on the marker's feedback before resubmitting.
I passed ! Congratulations to those who passed too!
As for those who have failed, dont be discouraged. I also failed the first attempt too. Read the comments that they gave, and go for the second attempt ! Good luck !
Got the same. Im worried.
me too :( I also received this email about this and I really needed the transcripts asap, but now I just wish that the ACO could approach me asap :(
RAP is the entire Research and analysis project which includes Research report, SLS and other documents. So it isn't clear whether you failed RR or SLS Martindeo.

My mentor was very pleased with the project giving great feedback for each iteration, said that my referencing was done correctly and that they style and composition was spot on. I put a lot of effort into the project. I had read through prior period result threads and also noticed that there were cases where mentors had thought their mentee's project was of a high standard but turned out failing. I also read the appeals process is basically a waste of time. I just can't understand how OBU has the mentorship programme but then it appears that their requirements and mentors opinions are not aligned. It begs the question of what kind of support OBU provides the mentors. I mean you not going to second guess your mentor as they are essentially the representative from OBU who is supposed to guide you. I trust my mentor completely as she obviously met the criteria to become one - she is listed on the OBU website as an active mentor and her credentials are beyond reproach. So I can't understand how the opinion of a mentor and a marker can be so far apart. Anyway, it is what it is. Nothing to do about it now
I got my mail a few minutes back. I am glad to share that i got an A grade in my RAP and passed with First Class Honours.
Congratulations to all who were successful!
martindeo wrote:I totally agree with you. I hope you failed SLS and not RR so that you not much effort is required for second submission!mariamohi wrote:RAP is the entire Research and analysis project which includes Research report, SLS and other documents. mariamohi wrote:I have no idea, everything my mentor reviewed was given the all clear. To be honest if it is only 1 section or 1 part of the RAP that will be even more devastating as it would mean another 6 months and a full submission cost to remedy small part. I wonder why it takes so long for everything. Basically 5.5 months to mark, then another 2 weeks to wait for the marking feedback, surely this can be provided in 1 go. At this point I'm not even sure I will resubmit. I am 3 exams short of full ACCA membership and I don't know if I am willing to sacrifice so much time and money on this again.mariamohi wrote:RAP is the entire Research and analysis project which includes Research report, SLS and other documents. The marking process comprises 3 stages and a review of every report that is failed. This also includes a review of some of the reports by external markers from other universities who ascertain that the standard is comparable with that required for UK degree as laid down by the regulator.
Reading 7,500 word reports and the 2,000 word SLS is far more time consuming than checking numbers and briefer written exam questions as with ACCA exams. There are no short cuts to this and the process is unlikely to change

Surely this must be immediately available? Don't understand why there has to be a 2 week delay in getting this out. Surely it would have been collated and reviewed during the above process to come to a conclusion on the pass/fail criteria as well as grading? That's 2 weeks that could have been allocated to addressing the issues raised by markers which will be lost.
