OBU Period 38 delay

This is extremely poor from the OBU. I just called 11.44BST and was informed they they know nothing and are expecting an email shortly to advise with an updated position. I gather that we won't be getting results today. Having briefly read the period 37 forum, this is not uncommon. I wonder if they accept the same behaviour for late admissions..... Anxious and disappointed....

Hi iamjeet, Thanks for getting in touch with them to try and find out what's going on. It's very poor that if the results are delayed they haven't advised us sooner. Given the previous issues that were had with P37 I wonder if perhaps it's time for the ACCA to look at alternative universities to partner with on the undergraduate degree as this impacts their reputation too.

I sent an email to [email protected] last week to enquire about the results, as i was unsure whether i had to log in, or would receieve them via e-mail I have just receievd a reply that says "Period 38 students should be sent an email today or tomorrow" my heart skipped when i saw the e-mail as i thought it was my actual results!

Oh my gosh nieffee my heart would have fallen out!

Let's just wait patiently. Results will be released by email, in batches, from the 18th to the 19th. Control your anxiety. OBU are still within the limits of what they said they will do.

OBU is standing by their words that the results will be out today or tomorrow but to me this shows that there is technical problem causing errors in our results, so when u get your results don't hurry to act either positively or negatively. Go slow

Half of the day is gone already.. still no sign of email.. honestly this is unacceptable.. I rather be in a situation where I don’t know which date is the result !!!

In period 37 the first person received his email around 14:45 i thnk so it was after 2 o clock british time so lets hope maybe we will start receiving email after 2 pm

I just received an email from OBU saying there is a delay and that results will be released on Wednesday 25th September.

Yes. I got the same email that there has been delay in the result.

IMPORTANT: BSc Applied Accounting Submissions, Period 38 - Update B BS-ACCA-BSc to BS 0 minutes agoDetails Dear Student, As a result of the additional submission window in June, there will be a slight delay in the release of the RAP results and degree awards. We have completed the marking and moderating of the RAP and these marks have been ratified by an Examination Board. We are now in the process of combining the RAP grade with the ACCA examinations marks so that the Examination Board can approve these at a meeting on Monday 23 September and we can then provide the successful students with their degree classification and final award. You will receive your RAP grade and, where applicable, degree classification by Wednesday 25 September. Feedback, for those students that have been unsuccessful, will be provided by the end of September. We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. I received this email too.. that says they will start sending results from 23 Sep now. Hope they stick to it this time :/ Best of luck everyone!!

Just received an email from OBU that results will be released by 25th September for successful candidates and unsuccessful candidates will be informed at the end of September

Everybody should get some sleep now, we've another one week to wait for. :(

Wow what a joke I’ve literally been refreshing my emails all day

It is very disappointing... they must have known this before today.... why we didn't receive the email earlier....... also who submitted the papers on time why we need to wait????

The issues stemming back to P37 meant the results were delayed by nearly 2 MONTHS !!! so P38 had already closed before failed P37 students had their results. In the circumstances and in fairness to these students who otherwise would be waiting until November to resubmit in P39 were offered a June submission (with only 5 weeks to correct their work and potentially a choice of resubmitting or dong exams). So stop feeling sorry for yourselves - compared with everything that happened to P37 students a week’s delay in the grand scheme of things is NOTHING!

Looks like initially they were going to send just pass/fail results, but now they have decided to email the grades as well.... I would rather know the pass/fail asap lol

Same here. I received an email like this a few minutes ago.

I got the mail from OBU saying its gonna be delayed to 25th.

According to the mail, if one doesn't receive results by 25th September, 2019 it's a fail. I think it's not a good way of communicating results to students.

I dont think they will ignore the students who failed. the mail says "You will receive the RAP grade and degree classification by 25th". The RAP grades are 1. Pass grades (A, B or C) or 2. Fail grade (F). So they ideally would say if its a F.
