Hello,
I don´t get to understand why do we show Non-Controlling Interest on the consolidated SoFP (equity) since it represents the value for the part of the business that does not belong to the parent company?. Can you please help me to clarify this issue?.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Regards.
The consolidated SOFP shows all of the net assets of the whole group.
These belong mainly to the shareholders of the holing company, but also partly to the non-controlling interest.
As with any SOFP we have to show the net assets, and who the money is owed to.
