Does anyone know how ACCA deals with mitigating circumstances? Any thoughts?

General ACCAMitigating Circumstances
I mean, when they say they will consider your mitigating circumstances, do they mean they re-mark or upmark / add a bit to the mark?
Thanks Anon, yes I am sure ACCA has their way of considering individual circumstances. I was just curious and wanted to get people's experience and opinion.
Only 1 week now, so getting nervous and excited at the same time.
Thanks again.
@eagledave said: Does anyone know how ACCA deals with mitigating circumstances? Any thoughts?Hi ed! I was experiencing a situation as well and it was my first time filing mitigating circumstances to ACCA. What does ACCA write to you if I might know?
@Anon39 Thanks for your advice, really appreciate it :)
@Elizamay They just said that they will take it into consideration and that the final result would have included that consideration. Not sure if it's a standard reply to all requests? But then again, we only have a week left to wait so probably not worth worrying too much. How about you? What exactly did they say?
@eagledave yep, same as yours. I asked ACCA for clarification once, about what exactly is the "consideration" and how it will affect our score. They said they couldnt disclose :(
Hi Anon, I failed it so retaking in March. So depressing, after all the effort, but I will try again.
@elizamay, hope you passed!
@eagledave i'm so sorry to hear that ? But keep the spirits up! You can do it!
And as a matter of fact, yes I did pass with 50%. Was quite certain that the examiner had given me extra points, otherwise I would have failed.
Well done! I got 44, just 6 more points to passing! But yes, I will keep going, thank you :)
Thank you Anon, I will have to do a lot of question practice I think. I will follow your suggestion, good points.
I have not heard about the SFM cause it is through UoL, the result will be 8th Feb.
I will do P3 and P7 in March. To be honest, I am really annoyed with myself cause I put in a lot of effort learning and ACCA is not helping very much with where I need to improve on.
I am also at the moment seriously considering to move to CPA Ireland, cause at least, they have better exam methods with their final exams.
I am self-studying, I might consider the QBD, see how I get on closer to the time. I do struggle with time management, so that might be a good idea.
Thanks for your advice, really appreciate it.
