Hi Chris, Thank you so much for your lectures and the revision lectures and i have passed in the second attempt with 53%. In the first attempt i got 47%. I wouldn't have done it without your support and guidance. Thanks a lot to Opentuition.com.

51% after a resit! Just SBL and either AAA or APM to go.

2nd attempt...Unexpected Result 44%...i complete almost all question with relevant IAS/IFRS standard...i was expecting 75%!!!

Took SBL and SBR (UK) in June and got 90% and 80% - can't believe it! Was so nervous for SBR. My advise for SBR would be to download the syllabus from the ACCA website. There's about 30 IFRSs (/IASs) and spend some time going through each of these and learning what they're trying to achieve and what the main rules within them are. You can google them. I did this using flashcards and would then drill them over and over. It would take me maybe 2 hours to run through all of them. On top of that I had to do the UK rules too. It's not the most fun but you do just need to know them inside out. As someone else said, they can and will test smaller IFRSs. It's also worth learning the main points of the discussion papers listed on the syllabus. In June there was only about 4 of these and they weren't too tricky and having written a couple of notes on each would have been well equipped for a question if it had come up - would have had no idea otherwise.

During the SBR INT exam, I feel hopeless as the questions are truly hard. I feel hopeless since I start doing the SBR Q1 until after I summit my paper. At the time, I not really want to care about my result as I know I having chance fail in exam (YESSS, the exam really seems different compared to past year questions). So that day I just try to answer all questions (maybe left 4-8% of questions didn't answer) I feel hopeless until I didn't care about the exam result release date and start accepting the truth of high chance failing. I only know that day is result releasing date when my lecturer ask us to print screen our result in the evening. Surprisingly, I passed SBR with 51%. It shocked me when I was a 'PASS' beside my result. This is my first attempt in SBR (and also first ACCA paper since I got exemptions).I was actually expecting I may get 40%+ due to hard exam questions and also bad mark in my mock exam(41% and exceed time limit)

Congratulations to all those that passed. I got 72% first attempt & am so happy! To those that failed… just keep going. I made sure i learnt all the standards well & used the revision book questions & past papers. I also watched debriefing videos to learn how to answer the written questions well as i study from home. That said the exam questions were mostly unexpected and unusual. As these are now professional papers i’ve noticed more unusual questions seem to appear. So expect the unexpected and apply your knowledge the best you can. Don’t let them throw you in the exam room.

71 first attempt - so happy!

Honestly, don't know what's a good advice to pass this exam. I have a 5 days paid trainings sponsored by my employer for each ACCA. Then i usually take few days off near exam, to study. So my preparations are like 10 days in total. This worked well on all F's, and on SBL. On SBR I have failed with 44% few months ago (and during preparations I have not managed to open any actual past exam). This time I got 54% which is quite nice, and I am super happy about it. But still, I honestly dont know how you can prepare for SBR, without spending weeks or months to go though every standard.
