Hi everyone! So the countdown has started, less than 30 days to result.
    What are your expectations?
    Any leaks this time around?

Dreading them (or it)! Always do, but this time more than ever and it’s not because it’s my last exam.

It is too early for a leak to have happened. Normally the leak occur during ACCA uploads the results, which commences sometime 10-15 days before the exam result.

A pass is what I am looking for, as I would then become a member of ACCA. If not a pass then it would be same story all over again with very little steam left in me for competitive exams at this age.

    I wish all good luck

I just received AB direct from ACCA , the e-magazine believed to be for members, first time.

Does it mean anything??? Did others who appeared for their final exam receive it? or I am the only one who received it first time no matter a member or student?? OR this magzine is not just for members..

    OOOOph… the plot thickens…..

I’ve been receiving AB emails for a long time now, the latest came today. And I still have 2-4 exams to go. So no, AB email is not sign of anything.

Although I do not celebrate by these, except use it as a means of keeping the communication in the forum alive, it would be interesting to know that , when AB is meant for members and SA is meant for students, how the second one in the order we can receive unless we make a special request, or, I strongly believe that, we have to be a member of another body doing P level exams.

The SA mail comes from accastudent.nw007.com and AB direct receives from accamember.nw007.com.

I do not want to conclude anything by proving this. But an ACCA member receiving student accountant magzine is understandable as they might not have removed the member’s name from that section. But how do AB direct obtain an information to send it to students unless either of the above two occur. If it is applicable to across the board for all then I should have received this before as well and for that matter other students as well.

Can we get an answer to this?? am not sure

That is exactly what I am trying to tell!. I have completed PER in 2012 and haven’t subscribed to AB till date. SA & AB are automatic subscription at two different levels if you are not voluntarily subscribe to it. For Eg. When you register as a student you don’t have to make a separate application for the SA magazine, it will reach you on due dates. And you can register for receiving AB also irrespective of your designation with ACCA at that point in time.

Similarly I wish to believe that AB will reach you automatically once you become the member if you had not requested for it till the time you became a member.

Hhahahahah!!!! we have no idea as to how all this work, we are just trying to ease our tension building during the days that leads to the results.

I wish gud luck to everybody

oh common keyboard!! although your words are music to ears, I am equally anxious as you for the result. These occurrences are just for us to communicate with each other. I do not want to believe anything beyond that.

Receiving or not receiving AB-direct has little meaning to our final results, I believe.

I wish you may pass all your exam.

If my information is correct, the student registration number is retained as your membership number once you are eligible to become a member (affiliate, associate etc).

I think anyone who is already a member can shed some light in to this.

Anyone tried to enter for Dec 2014 exams? From last sittings, those who got ‘no rows’ ended up passing, those who saw their previous exam dockets or were able to enter for exams ended up not passing… this is for finalists

    Dear Kibalka,

I think there is still time to reach this stage, as ACCA normally will not start making any changes to the students page after an exam session this soon. I mean such changes will start happening mostly approx.10 days before the date of exam results when they take off all pages except the page that shows your addresses etc.

However, days before last exam results, this has not happened. If remember correctly, for all students those results were to be released, exam entry was denied till the exam results was released.

Stop looking for indications whether you have passed or not, ACCA knows you are doing this and they will make sure you can’t find any loophole, these only used to work back then but since last exam session they have solved these problems and you probably won’t find your result until 8 august.
