I have studied full time for six months. Really went through every single thing I needed to know but when it came to the exam today I did manage to answer the questions but was not sure what they were expecting to get as the correct answer. Questions not easy to figure out! Disaster I am really sick!

The questions seems easier, I don’t know whether I misunderstood what examiner want us to answer.

Same here. The paper was pretty fair but the examiner was a bit picky as a small percentage of the sysllabus was examined.I do hope to get enough mark to pass the exam.
June 14, 2010 at 1:30 pm #64223i am not sure what it asked about how to construct an ethical argument mean. it is only 5 marks. I just used the tucker 5 ? for it. maybe i am wrong.. But whatever.. Just hope i can get 50.

I think the paper was a fair one too. Agree with kylefran that Q4 was more like a F8 question.
Some parts of the questions are a gift. For eg, question 4b. It’s simply memorize and print stuff!

Voluntary i wrote that they have a choice to be stakeholders or not e.g. employees can look for another job & involuntary i wrote things like the colony of seals – they are an involuntary stakeholder coz they have no choice and cannot move from the area.
What you said crossed my mind and i wasted a lot of time thinking about what to write !!June 14, 2010 at 1:39 pm #64228Anonymous

Question 4 – last part. I used the AAA framework to help Mr Shreen decide on a course of action. I am worried coz the question said ‘discuss’ and ‘advise’.
Did anyone else answer question 4 ? The AAA model was just perfect for that scenario but im not sure thats what the examiner wanted ?? Help anyone ??

I think my paper went really well, but I am so gutted about the time management. I didn’t answer properly Part D of Question 1, although I had good points for that question. I think that Section A was not difficult at all. The answers of Part A & Part B were in the scenario. As far as Part C is concerned, can anybody tell me that what who was the agent of the nuclear plant? Was it that trade union company. Anyways, I wrote all the duties, objectives of agents. I think I should get atleast half marks in that part. In Section B, I attempted Q.2 and Q.3, and those two questions took alot of my time. I think I answered them fairly well, especially Q.3, which was about Internal Control. Internal Audit & Principles-Based approach. I am optimistic about my chances of passing this paper, but you never know what happens. In F9, I left about 20 marks and I was expecting 35% maximum, and I was really shocked to see that I got 56% in that. Really shocked….You just never know with these papers. Anything can happen. Even if you think you haven’t done well, you may still pass. Good Luck everybody!!!

A Fair paper. I just hope the markers are not too picky 🙂 . Time was tight and that caused some problem but I think I covered around 85% of the questions so fingers crossed for over 50%.
June 14, 2010 at 2:16 pm #64235One thing for sure my shoulder is hurting from gripping my pen (gel ink) for 3 hours.
Answering Q1 took a long time, I only had an hour left for the other two.
A fair paper – will wait and see until August, not prepared to say definite pass or definte fail. I honestly did not think I was going to finish a third question but kept writing all the way to the end. When time pressured like that you worry if you interpreted the questions correctly – I know my punctuation deserted me in the last 15 minutes!June 14, 2010 at 2:16 pm #64236What the format of statement?
to/ from/date/subject come in statement?
June 14, 2010 at 2:18 pm #64237think the agent was the board of directors and they had a duty to the government who was the princple….thats what i went with anyhow.
Question 2 was an absolute gift I felt, if you knew anything about the remuneration committee, reward systems and a bit of ethics you were away!
I also did question 3 and about half way through it decided I should have done question 4….had to stick to the decision though!
Got the exam finished but with literally not a second to spare

The AAA model was examined in Dec’09 P1 exam. So i guess that in June’10 exam the examiner wanted some other model. Kohlberg theory for question 4 was very convinient.
However as i Know there is no only one answer for P1 questions. If the answer is logical and correct, so it is possible to have high marks.I also selected question 4, however i managed my time nor very well, so i didn’t qomplete the question 4. However the questions 1 and 2 were answered by me in full. I hope so.
Generally i hope that i can receive 50 marks or some more.
June 14, 2010 at 2:37 pm #64240how did anyone answer question three? really regret not doing question 2 now .

i just answered the paper in general sence. I didn’t mention which part of ethical theory was based on the decesion etc
I just want to get 50 .This is one paper which i definety don’t want to study again.June 14, 2010 at 3:22 pm #64242Didn’t really apply many models throughout the exam so hope that wont put me at a disadvantage.
However, I found it relatively easy to apply all of the scenario’s to the questions asked.
Did question 1,2 & 4 as it seems a lot of others have. Question 3 was a real F8 question I thought. Forget that!
