Flexed budget

Hello everyone, My question is that if we have fixed and flexed budget. And also we have actual output. In order to measure variances which type of budget should we select fixed or budget?

Variances (apart from the sales volume variance) are calculated by comparing the actual figures to the flexed budget. I explain all of this in detail in my free lectures on variance analysis.
