Enterprize risk managment framework v/s Internal control framework

I have few questions kindly guide me through..
First of all.. COSO risk managment framework has 8 components .. obviously it includes internal control environment too as one has to relate risks with control.. so my ? is that I always get confused about what exactly is internal control framework.. is it just internal control environment and internal procedure or like the risk managment framework it’ll also consist of identification of risk, risk assessment.. ?
I’m too confused !! kindly help me out !!
