Hi,
Sir, i want your opinion that in this dec 2012 i solve consolidation and it also matched with examiner one, = 35 marks, i attempted 100% paper then how it is possible to get 45 from whole paper?Secondly i need your opinion regarding, I attempted F9, p1, P2 this time and failed P2 for the first ever time in ACCA, I am considering and want your opinion does or not i attempt P2, P3, P4, p7 for the next attempt ?
February 10, 2013 at 5:49 am #11693345 is pretty good, i’m pretty sure you lost some marks in p2, coz it never happends that you get a full mark for a question)
Maybe you didn’t provide enough explanations on the Calculations you made and the examiner could think that you just guessed. That would make you loose half of the marks. With this result i think you can try for 4 papers and concentrate on main topics of p2 and arithmetics of it. Also read some articles on p2 and previous exams answers to make sure you provide the same explanations as the examiner expects you to.

#1 It’s almost impossible to predict an ACCA exam result – check out the comments on any of the papers for December 2012 exams
#2 When all of the OT tutor team did their exams, we had to do 5 exams in 2.5 days with no referral system – if we failed 1, we failed them all and had to do all 5 again.
Now, ask me again – “Is it possible to do 4 exams in one sitting?” Of course it is! It’s a big ask these days, but I taught a student recently who had three exemptions ( F1 – F3 ) and she qualified over 3 consecutive sessions ( June, December, June )
Yes, it’s possible. It’s not the usual way these days.

February 11, 2013 at 1:04 pm #117305Hello
do you have any advice on syllabus changes for P2 in 2013. I’ve downloaded the syllabus and examinable documents from ACCA and will go through it. It seems to suggest no additions or deletions, although I’m aware that “current issues” will probably change.I suppose I’m wondering whether I need to fork out for new study materials ! I failed both sittings in 2012 and will try #3 in 2013.
Thank you
February 12, 2013 at 12:50 pm #117542I think you should be ok with your 2012 material as updated by technical releases in Student Accountant. Try to find someone with 2013 material and do a quick comparison
February 12, 2013 at 1:27 pm #117558Please can you tell in which edition does there was this technical release in student accountant ?
February 13, 2013 at 10:53 am #117731No!!! You should be reading your monthly edition of Student Accountant for yourself – every month
If you can’t be bothered doing that, go to the ACCA website and check out the section “technical articles” on the P2 page
