January 17, 2022 at 12:37 am #646381@alushatikah wow that’s some good score Congratulations. I’m planning on taking SBL in March! Any tips or advice on how to prepare for it?
January 17, 2022 at 12:39 am #646385Passed with 55% on my first attempt. I am elated! Coming out of the exam hall I had no gauge on how the exam went. To those who did not pass, Do not give up! .my best advice, always aim to attempt two mock papers under exam conditions during the final week of revision to the exam and If you cant do that, you MUST DO ONE even if you feel you’re not ready for the exam.
January 17, 2022 at 12:58 am #646407Passed first time 62% ! Happy Days
Time Management is key !
Practice and practice past exams
Don’t focus too much time on models !
These models can take up a lot of study timeWatch the practice to pass videos they are very helpful!

January 17, 2022 at 1:04 am #64641049… Did anyone try to file an appeal in Acca exams? Is there any chance? Or appeals never end up with good results?

Pass with 51% on 1st attempt. Was expecting a marginal pass or fail~ Amit?bha ?
Onwards to SBR next~
For those unsuccessful, press on and you’ll get there!!January 17, 2022 at 1:13 am #646420@ranganaherath Thank you! I made short notes of the important models for SBL, then proceeded to do practice questions on ACCA platform and past year papers. Also, make sure to do timed mock, it really helps during the exam, just so that you can get used to the 4 hours duration.
Points can be taken from the exhibits, at least that’s what I did. To explain the points you should always explain on why the point is important as in “this means that…”. Giving an impact is also helpful when you write your answers. Your explanation has to be detailed and relate to the exhibit.
Always give extra points, just to be safe. Say for a 16m question (exc professional marks), I’d give 8 points + 1 or 2 extra points. At the same time, I would keep the professional requirements in mind. Hope these helps 🙂

I’m a full-time employee with 2 children, and study late in the evenings (~3 hours) and weekends if possible 🙂 .
Good luck to everyone!
January 17, 2022 at 2:43 am #646448I failed the exam, 49% I am so upset as I felt that I did my best to pass. Study hard, revised, practiced mock. In exam I kept the time management covered all questions and I made sure I was not repeating myself also kept the answers to the point, basically followed all the tips from examiners report.
Now I am so lost, don’t know where to start with my revision with resitting.
The most upsetting is I spent so much time preparing for exam, away from my children and not spending weekends with them, is nearly 3 am and I cannot stop crying. What do I have to do to pass? Please advice someone.January 17, 2022 at 3:00 am #646455nataliq wrote:I failed the exam, 49% I am so upset as I felt that I did my best to pass. Study hard, revised, practiced mock. I downloaded all 7 past sessions of the exam and attempted them once. I had 56 this time around.

Hello~ Please don’t get disheartened. 49% is so close to passing mark.
Exam questions practice is very crucial to get passing mark. For your next attempt, do as much as possible under timed conditions and I’m sure you’ll nail it! Wish you best of luck~ - AuthorPosts
