Same here! This is my resit and i feel like i did worse than in September
December 8, 2021 at 6:01 pm #643209the price elasticity question for 1.4 or something i think i got 61,000 abc i dont remember most but it was like 909.1 or something for the first setup and for the price question for demand function i got like p=30-0.25q
December 8, 2021 at 6:03 pm #643210Difficult exam
Section C was three E’s and make or buyNot sure how the three E’s made it to section C. I’ve done all the section C questions in the bpp revision kit and i can’t remember a question solely based around the 3 E’s
There was more qualitative work needed for section C rather than quantitativeSection A was OK
Section B was difficult and so to was CDecember 8, 2021 at 6:06 pm #643212yea i got like 114.$ for the mix and yield i forgot but does anyone remember the true or false part or other answers from these qs for variance
December 8, 2021 at 6:06 pm #643213Very difficult exam for me. The pre-Dec 21 was pointless, nothing showed up in this one.
A few questions on variance analysis, nothing on operational/planning ones. Nothing on budgeting! Harsh exam I think.Section A was ok, think I did well there. Had MOS/absorption coating/learning rate etc
Section B was very hard, I had trouble with the awkward price elasticity questions. Variance ones were easy though, I had revised variance analysis HEAVILY so I was uoset to see such few.
Section C – One on the 3 Es?! I hopefully did ok on this.
Make or buy, found that really difficultDecember 8, 2021 at 6:07 pm #643214omarhussainali wrote:the price elasticity question for 1.4 or something i think i got 61,000 abc i dont remember most but it was like 909.1 or something for the first setup and for the price question for demand function i got like p=30-0.25q
Do you remember the last Sect B questions? I kinda think its something related to sales volume V, sales mix V , and sales qty variance . I think i got the same equation as you , p =30 – …. , There’s a Sect A questions on range check, sequence check etc , do u rmb what u choose ?
December 8, 2021 at 6:09 pm #643216Anyone got these :
Section A: LC-90%, ERPS-integrated database system, incremental budgeting theory,residual income theory, ABC practical q, Throughput return per hour,Section B- price elasticity , ABC costing ,sales variances
Section C – 1st building block model (comparing 2 airlines , with profitability, liquidity , risk and comment, another one with why building block model is useful in service ,
2nd equation CVP/BEP analysis,weighted avg. C/S ratio, margin of safetyIn my previous sittings,I had a tough time in section C but not this time for sure.
I attempted paper of 100 marks .
Found the Q of pricing most difficult which was in section B.
Expecting a PASSDecember 8, 2021 at 6:10 pm #643217Very hard
December 8, 2021 at 6:18 pm #643220what did you get for the MOS question in section A?
I hardly answered the make or buy question in section C as I ran out of time!
December 8, 2021 at 6:18 pm #643221I got 136,000 instead of 61,000, i dont know if that’s correct though, but the equation i got the same as yours.

Section A : i got LC 90% as well, I choose MIS as integrated system (probably wrong), Residual Income theory (do u rmb what u choose, i choose RI encourages managers to buy NCA , another one relating to financing cost (im not sure), incremental budgeting theory , Life cycle theory (4 options) , LF only material is a LF , sales Qty is $400 A ( found from Sales Volume 1400A = sales mix 1000 A + Sales qty V) (not sure if this is correct)
Section B : Price elasticity is very hard ,couldnt find the demand for PED 1.4 , ABC costing one question with inspection (per month) (so i 12X inspection units X production volume ) to find the cost driver , Variance is still okay
Section C: Building block model is hard for me , didnt manage to answer why it is useful for service business, CVP analysis is still okayDecember 8, 2021 at 6:22 pm #643224I did! The first question regarding standard weighted cost threw me off! Overall the exam was tested on more theory based questions which is not what I focused on.
December 8, 2021 at 6:23 pm #643225for the standard weighted cost i got like 0.31 or something? and for the residual income question i think i got 18,750 or something?anyone else?
December 8, 2021 at 6:29 pm #643227On this i got b=0.00025 ?
December 8, 2021 at 6:31 pm #643228On this i cant remember the amount. But i worked out roce backwards to find the pbit. And then calculated te RI.
December 8, 2021 at 6:33 pm #643229Mine was exactly the same. Found difficult on make or buy question. Really didnt know where to start from. Hope i get some marks for the adjustments atleast.
December 8, 2021 at 6:34 pm #643231Weighted average cost i got $1.25
December 8, 2021 at 6:44 pm #643234PED i got 56.000 who else?
PED=1.4
Mc + 400% which was $2 + 400% = $10
At $10 demand was 80,000
% change in price from $10 to $15. $5/$10 = 0.5PED = % change in price/%change in qty
1.4 = 0.5/X
x = 0.70.7 = x/80.000
X = 56.000December 8, 2021 at 6:51 pm #643237Yes i got the question with the variances for liters

I got the same question of 1.4 PED, I simply answered it but i rmb it has 51000 , 56000, 61000 unitsDecember 8, 2021 at 6:53 pm #643239I got Brakers Co
That was the worst question for me, I didn’t manage to finish it and I think I did bad on that one.December 8, 2021 at 6:53 pm #643240did anyone get 12,500 relevant cost for labour question?like 500 hours was in the question or something

Standard weighted cost was 1.25
Residual income I can’t remember but I think that was itDecember 8, 2021 at 7:00 pm #643244omarhussainali wrote:did anyone get 12,500 relevant cost for labour question?like 500 hours was in the question or something
I got that question but I can’t remember the answer.
It was just the lower of cost of hiring or cost of standard workers + loss of contribution - AuthorPosts
