Sir I have 1 problem in part d of this question
Qs says Calculate the new optimum production plan if maximum demand for W falls to 200 units
Sir in solution they have said that new optimum point will be at intersection of W = 200 and 2W + 2L = 1200
But in my opinion, new optimum point should be at intersection of W = 200 and 7W + 5L = 3500
On the graph provided in the exam, if W falls to 200 then the line P moves to the left.
In that case the feasible area is bounded by lines P and F, and the fabric line is 2W + 2L = 1,200. (The T (tailor) line becomes a redundant constraint).
(The examiners original answer was wrong – it did use the Tailor line by mistake – but it was later corrected and the Revision Kits are showing the correct answer).
