It seems true but unintentionally sent by ACCA. As whom ever received it is their last paper. Is anyone received who are yet to attempt any paper.. I see none till now.

Taha I'm not finalist but I received 2 emails today The first one from acca middle east regarding success stories for ACCA affiliates and members The second one from Acca regarding diversity survey Do you receive the aforementioned emails?

To sum up this unethical email things since morning, it says those who failed didnt get any emails (not even survey),and those who passed they got both emails of affiliate and next sitting exams? i am so much puzzled and still no official apology for this act fr0om ACCA, such a unprofessional accounting body and it is hurting that they give demn about this. I have no email at all and i am finalist

I am a finalist and didnt receive either email, however I did receive an email a couple of weeks ago saying we are sorry you couldnt sit your cbe at our Brighton centre due to technical difficulties when in fact I did take the exam. Waiting a response from them, what a mess........

really want to have a clarity on that email !

I received the diversity survey email nearly 15 minutes ago but no congratulations email ... Not surprised as ATX was tough for me. Hope I can pass AAA, though.

I just received the diversity survey but no congratulations email!!! APM here I come in December. It will be interesting to see how many of us pass and fail compared to if we did/did not receive the email!!!

Looks like it'll be ATX question practice for me from Monday onwards!

guys we dont have an option than just wait till monday... lets try to keep our anxiety down..this error has made it worse for the next 2 days... wish you all best of luck... PS:- i did not get the mail too..

@Amaniabuzaid yes same 2 emails i received.

I think I've gone through all the 5 stages of grief just in this one thread alone. My thoughts now are it was an automatic email scheduled for those who had passed given the original results day was the 12th and they forgot to cancel it. I feel as though if it was actually incorrect they would have sent a follow up email by now saying so. I reckon if you got it you've passed and if you didn't then you've failed. It is what it is and them making this error doesn't change the fact that I've failed due to my own short comings. All I can do now is wait for the official confirmation on Monday and then start preparing for a resit in December.

Same here i havent received any email either.

@deb007 i received both emails (survey + congrats) but i seem to be the only one in here with my name not mentioned in the congrats emails

i got an email about some AGM stuff...

I was expected an apology email from them by saying that its their fault that email got released out earlier of results, Lost and furious

I've completed the diversity survey - just to while away the hours (and keep calm). It was quite easy ;-)

Official ACCA response An ACCA system error has left massive confusion about whether final level students have suddenly become affiliates before their time. The results are out on Monday (19 October), but lots of PQs got messages today welcoming them to the fold and the fact that ‘something special’s happening’. We put in the call and now we have received the official statement… ACCA STATEMENT ABOUT MESSAGE ERROR: “ACCA apologises to students for a system error that has led to confusion about their exam results. A number of students have today received a welcome email congratulating them on becoming ACCA affiliates, ahead of receiving their exam results from the September sitting, which will be published on Monday. We would like to reassure the students who received the email that it is genuine and accurate. They will receive confirmation of their results and the marks they achieved on Monday. We would also like to apologise to students who are concerned because they have not received the congratulations message. To be clear, this does not necessarily mean they have failed their final examinations. They will also find out their result on Monday, as planned.”
