General ACCA*** Countdown September 2020 Results ***
Hello guys, I am only one here who failed so many times. It was my 6th attempt of APM, I didn’t receive any emails, meaning it will be 7th time in December. It looks like this road will never finish...
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement guys...it is wonderful that we can support each other xx
still hope
Good day all.
I salute all the finalists that got congratulatory mail inadvertently sent by ACCA.
However for any finalist that didn't get the mail, don't feel despondent as though you failed.
Recall that they've issued a message saying not receiving a mail doesn't mean failure.
I encourage myself as much as I encourage you, keep hope alive till midnight tomorrow.
Best of luck everyone.
Hi all. All the best for your results. I am attempting SBR exam in Dec and is my first professional paper exam. I need tips please. I got 1 months and 2 weeks remaining.
Hey all,
I also didn't recieve the email, but don't lose hope, its a possiblity that you weren't in the email tranche that was sent. Stay positive till midnight!
The fact that this email is legit i feel betrayed by ACCA i am a finalist and i have not received this and am sure its bad news knowing ACCA .It has been a long and painful journey. But i have lost all the trust in ACCA now.
Hey, I passed SBR in March, I found it the best module in terms of making you a good accountant. Do all lectures first, summarise as best you can and try to learn the key aspects of each standard. Then attempt questions. The syllabus is big so plan accordingly. It's a tough one, practice exams because typing quickly will help a lot. Try to like what you learn because it will make you a better accountant. It's the second most difficult exam in my experience behind only AFM.
Yes, i am waiting for results but didnt receive this e-mail from ACCA...
Hey, I got the email, sat AAA, SBL and AFM in Sep 2020. Delighted if I pass all three but I did study 2hrs a day for 8 weeks and had a week study leave before exams. My main tip would be use online tuition providers if you're relatively good at accounting because the videos make sense and you can progress the course quicker with understanding and require less detail ie huge books you don't need.

I hope I pass SBL and SBR, SBL is so long, I don't wanna do that again.
For those that received the affiliate email has your status on myacca been updated?
Did anyone see the green banner in myacca earlier this week ?
@catherine where can we find the status ?0
It’s on the dashboard under ‘your qualification’ mine says ACCA student but I’m sure it would update to ACCA affiliate
Although i have received the affiliate email it is still showing as student ... did uou receive the email ?
No sorry should have said I hadn’t received email. Congrats on passing. Such a shame ACCA have been so unprofessional on managing results!
@Help99
Don't be disheartened , dont lose hope nor the motivation. No one ever said acca is an easy journey. Its definitely worth it when you see that Pass message and become an affiliate and member! Your hard work will pay off...
I'm myself awaiting for SBL results. I took sbl last year in Sept but due to working for long extended hours till only 4 days before exam I didnt study well for it and didnt pass it last year. And this year I found the paper quite heavy compared to last Sept. I really hope I've cleared sbl in this attempt... only apm left which will be given in March due to study leave being denied at work for Dec sitting, but I really don't want a resit for sbl. So many things relying on this exam results.
Fingers crossed for tonight's results!
Good luck all and congrats to all finalists who got their email!
@roccoh172 I suggest you take a look to the SBR forum for tips.
Its very frustrating not receiving the congratulatory email. Even though its not professional having the results leaked two days prior the official release date, I wish I had received this email instead of being in grief mode for the last 48 Hrs.
Well, in approximately 12 hours we shall know our results, and I really hope I wont be re-sitting APM in December again.
So sad! When nothing of acca email in my email.
But, searched the junk box, i received Congratulations letter on 17Oct Fri.

Could you please elaborate us sequentially your exam techniques from start to end and tell us how you finished everything by 8weeks revision time and managed a pass. I need techniques for AAA and AFM. BTW congratulations, you made it through. My email is Sabrina006@gmail.com, you may consider to drop the advice..thanks in advance

Hi Sabrina, it was just consistent study, I had set days aside ie Monday, Tues Wed was AAA, Thurs Friday was SBL and sat, sun was AFM every week. Week1-6 was lectures w no questions, cleared SBL and AAA lectures by week 4 AFM took 2 full weeks of study on its own additionally (syllabus was huge).
2 weeks of question practice.
It's not full proof definitely lucky if I am successful but I worked hard consistently.
Catherine wrote:For those that received the affiliate email has your status on myacca been updated? No mines still the same
My status is still student too
Honestly, I feel sick to my stomach.
I still can't believe that there is a high possibility that I could have not been successful.
I completed both SBL and APM in time, did all the questions well and even compared my answers to all the students on the forum.
I don't know what to expect anymore.
I have had some people reach me on LinkedIn about this but still those are mere words and the helplessness in these last two days have been the worst.
I will still not give up and go ahead and give my papers again (if required). No way am I letting this mess up on their side, mess up with my life. These were the last two days of grieving, it is time to get back to work people.
DO NOT GIVE UP..!!
Guys, I have been trying to reach out the ACCA MiddleEast officials and thankfully one of the education manager reached out to me themselves. This is what they have said, after I specifically asked if not receiving the email meant we were unsuccessful:
"Hi Tasbiha,
I understand the feeling and would like to reassure you that if you have not received the email that in no way signifies that you have failed the exam. The reason a few students have not received this email is because the issue was picked up in time and all communications were put to a stop.
Inshallah you will receive your results tomorrow and hoping for them to turn out to be positive. Stay calm and keep yourself postive ok.
All will be for the good."
I personally know the education manager as we met on an ACCA membership awarding ceremony. I hope this works out for us because in my mind I know I cannot fail the exams, I did really well.
Good Luck.
@tasbihak try and keep calm... if there was no congratulations email you would still get the same results... 11 hours to go
