Any advice on passing this paper...............I have use all of open tuition studying methods along with revision kit and five failures............., Ready to give up...........Disappointed
DDale8y ago#10
Hi Brendacal my first piece of advice is not to give up. Failure is the biggest part of success. You have done all the work, so you already know it. Be calm and patient with yourself. I suggest understanding the key concepts and outcome. Do this instead of memorizing the work. Keep going over the revision kit until you understand were you're going wrong. Time yourself in the mock exams. Good luck next time :)

Any advice you can give to me? I'm about to write F2 them and I would like to pass on my first attempt
AAkwasi8y ago#26
I wrote F2 on my third attempt and passed with 61%. I recommend open tuition mock exam to prospective writers of F2. It has really helped me. I am most grateful

I started studying F2 with Opentuition on June 5, took the exam today (June 21) for the first time and passed with 59. I would have scored higher had the exam not contain 5 questions on double entry system of accounting, a topic which was covered only briefly in 1 Opentuition lecture. Nevertheless I am just very happy that I have passed the test after just over 2 weeks of learning, and would like to thank Opentuition and in particular lecturer John Moffat, your lectures were well structured and your maths calculations easy to follow. I will make donation to Opentuition so that you can continue to help other would be accountants to succeed. Thank you again!

Well done gyu338. Did you study daily - do you work in accountancy? I recently passed F2 and during the exam I did not feel it was going well. I somehow turned it around but I certainly did not feel that the questions came out in the topics I would favour. I don't work in accountancy and I am choosing to go as far down the ACCA route as I can.
GGia8y ago#29
I certainly have studied daily during those 15 days as I knew it was a brave attempt to take the exam so soon. I don't work in accountancy at this moment but I will join an accountancy firm soon. Can't wait to start! Good luck in your future exams.
