F. C. Dorius- St. Lucia
Me too with that combo.
Passed first time, 76 marks.
I have used opentuition videos and notes + Kaplan exam kit.
That's 9/13 for me, now professional level.
Passed! Thank you so much open tuition! Your videos are so insightful and gets straight to the point.. I used open tuition and Kaplan book for areas I found more difficult and then the exam kit. My advice is to do EVERY single question in the exam kit, they really are so similar !! Hope everyone else got the results they wanted!
Passed! First time attempt, very happy! :))
Passed first attempt. Thank you open tuition
Passed on the 1st attempt with 82%. So happy and grateful. Good luck for the future exams.
Passed at borderline 51% first attempt
I should have put more efforts
Thanks to opentuition
Passed on 1st attempt :-)
@goranbi, i passed tax too and i'm attemping financial reporting in june sitting. finding it a bit challenging. what materials did you use for fr? was it also open tuition videos and notes along with revision kits?
Mark, Preston UK, seen your profile is LA, a long way to travel if it was you!
A huge thank you to OpenTuition for all the help. Passed with 70, first attempt. Prepared for both PM and TX in a month (February). Used only Opentuition for the lectures and solved BPP books and question kit. I really am so thankful for the lectures as this wouldn't have been possible with it. The lectures are amazing and detailed enough that you cover just about everything you could possibly need to know!
As someone mentioned above, it really is important to do every single question because soon most of the rules/ intricate bits become like common knowledge.
@ cathyspicy : I have just done FR and passed it. Would recommend:
1) to put attention and start in the exam with the part C: consolidation and DISPOSAL (dont ignore the disposal part, although it is just one chapter). For me it was a new topic and was the hardest.
2) to make sure you know leasing; understand when to do depreciation and not under R&D costs.
3) I dont know why but this time we had no questions about Cash Flow, but i will still recommend you to practice this part as well.
4)Any theory regarding what is fin. statement, what is fin. asset...etc., I read 2-3 hours before the exam. At least 3-4 questions will be about this part as well.
5) Do do do previous 5-6 exams. I think this has helped me really a lot in the last week before the exam.
Any suggestions for tax?
Bests from Berlin!
@mazai Whatch the intro video here and do everything in suggested order: C, B, A.
@ryanb88 I got 58%, not 88%
Used open tuition lectures, technical articles, BPP kit and mocks from Kaplan and BPP.
Passed 59% first attempt. Thanks a lot OpenTuition!! Your videos are excellent !!!
Now i'm done with the fundamental level, having passed each exam at 1st attempt thanks Open Tuition!
Passed with 59% on my fist attept and thanks opentuitions
Failed first attempt 44
I passed from the 1st attempt! 52% only, but taking into account that I had only 4 days to prepare, I am very happy. And extremely lucky, I guess! I wish I had studied more, at least a month, because the exam was very difficult - it seemed to be much more challenging than even APM and SBR! But thanks a lot to Open Tuition, I used lecture notes to prepare - very well structured and with practice questions.
@cathyspicy said: @goranbi, i passed tax too and i'm attemping financial reporting in june sitting. finding it a bit challenging. what materials did you use for fr? was it also open tuition videos and notes along with revision kits?Hello Catherine. Actually, FR was the first exam I've sat (June 2018), and it was maybe the easiest for me, because it's closely related to my job. I have used BPP text and revision kit (borrowed it from a friend). @mazai I've did Tax - UK, my first contact with UK taxation regulations, as already said, I have used opentuition videos and notes + Kaplan exam kit. Make sure to work all the examples in the notes on your own, than check for mistakes.
