Hi guys Please anyone give tips to pass sbl, thanks
BBenjamin7y ago#12
I got 37% ,used a combination of learn signal notes and BPP revision kit but i never had time to watch the Open tuition videos ,i am going to do it this time again in June 2019 sitting. The paper was fair and i learnt why i didn't pass it. Self study of the unit requires much discipline and every free time should be utilized. I found the Notes well summarised and really flowing ,that was great for me. was not able to attempt the mocks and hence cant blame anyone,i thank God for the marks . Thanks to Open tuition team ,good job.

I got 44%, so annoyed because I feel like I know the syllabus really well. I'm not sure I have the right exam technique though so that's what I'm going to focus on for March. If anyone has any tips, they would be great to hear!

1st attempt and I passed "SBL" (self-study + Kaplan exam kit). I am very glad… I work, I am also married and have a little girl, you can therefore understand that I have a busy life but more over I am very thankful to open tuition for the concise and helpful videos, notes…. Once again, a BIG thank you to open tuition for making it possible for people like me.

Hi would you please kindly describe, how to attempt the overall subject to reach the destination to pass.
AAnis7y ago#17
Passed SBL with 58% without any preparation no kidding!!! ( First attempt). I can't believe it. I felt the question was general and I attempted all the question and gave anecdotes while writing the answer. I was not prepared enough so stopped preparing thinking I don't have enough time, but I prayed to GOD and gave it a try and attempted the exam. Very happy at the moment, Got motivation to finish off with the remaining papers.

Magalena Which resources you have used and please explain how do you studied or practice
MMagdalena7y ago#22
Hi Viyanna, BPP study kit + Open Tuition notes + ask the tutor seccion... I studied systematically, each day apart from fridays and saturdays. I had no time for practice (to do 4hours exam with a one year-old baby is absolutely impossible :)) and this was not good, during the exam i run out of time, and wrote the answer to further questoons completely without plan. But anyway I passed. Anyway doing the exercises or at least reading the answers should help
Vvijayanna267y ago#23

Congrats to those who succeeded and for those who missed the way, try to refresh, rebuild and take confidence again because ACCA is not just a test of skills but it's also a test of perseverance. So for me nobody here should abandon the papers, let's try again and find a strategy that fits our personality and really spend maximum time to practice because practice makes permanent.
