Hi people. Also had transfer pricing and variances in section C. Does anyone remember the transfer one? With a mark up added the transfer price would be $6, correct? Thanks
OOksana4y ago#35
Hi Zaman, What those abbreviations mean? I learnt it as AQ AP vs AQ SP; AQ AP vs AQ RSP etc ( actual quantity, actual price; standard price and revised standard price).

What is the answer of this

Question about ROI. What would you choose? the higher ROI or both? Also the learning rate - something about motivation, experience and...? that was confusing... Overall, the questions would be easy if I did not get stressed and I would have more time. They were just tricky and I needed more time to think.
KKishan4y ago#38
Depends on the context, I didn't get an ROI question, but generally, each department already has an existing ROI, if the new calculated ROI is higher than the existing one then the department will choose it. In the case of the Learning effect, if you got the same question I got, it was basically asking whether the Learning effect has an impact on labour hours and employee motivation and the answer is yes to both.

The statement is false

There was a question with two different ROI for two divisions asking which one the company would choose. the target ROI was not given. I thought it would be the higher one... but I might be wrong.

I was so confused with this one about learning rate... I am not sure what I chose, but now I would go for the task is repetitive and probably no experience because it will make the process more complex? (as it should be?). But again, I do not know if there was an option to choose above two options only.

Same! Hopefully it worked in my favour

how did you treat Fixed cost $80000 (including $60000 long term lease payments) for selling division in section C - Transfer Price Question. Was the original transfer price with mark up $6 per box?
RReni4y ago#44
i also got 82% hope this is correct
RReni4y ago#45
do you remember what was the margin of safety on this BEP graph? and Sales Price per unit? unfortunately I had to guess both 50% and $22 this graph was a disaster!
OOksana4y ago#46
Yes for me
Ppriyanka4y ago#47

DDamania4y ago#48
Total factory costs should be divided by the throughput return per unit to calculate TPAR Trus or False???
DDamania4y ago#49
What was ur answer??
SShane4y ago#50
Factory Costs/Bottleneck hours as far as I know RPFH is Throughput/Bottleneck hour
SShane4y ago#51
We got the same exam I think. How did you find it?? I thought It Section C was quite good with Non financial/Financial question about wastage and The Materials Yield and Mix but the theory part was rotten! Section A was quite good but few things popped up I have never seen before or how to answer.Section B was a disaster with the lifesycle and Learning curve was particularly bad! I was extremely disappointed no section C/B Throughput/CVP analysis came up. And was shocked their was only a 2 Mark budgeting question came up. Studied really hard for this!
PPius4y ago#52
the lower the learning rate, the faster
Ppriyanka4y ago#53
do you remember the ans for the variances for the types of plants? agreed theory was super bad and section A some questions were out of my knowledge.

Spider4 wrote:Total factory costs should be divided by the throughput return per unit to calculate TPAR Trus or False???
false
MMarta4y ago#55
Agree! Questions false/true were tricky and only 2 points as long as your answers are 100% correct...
EEustache4y ago#56
All questions were compulsory and too much while the time was not increased ,it is better to include the question to work by choice . eg. select one Q from 2.
