Re trends and ratio analysis the restriction of marks is not new - nor how the examiner expects these to be "integrated" in an risk assessment answer - e.g. see this post https://opentuition.com/topic/cbe-question-practice-for-professional-exams-practice-platform - my 2nd to last comment. I also discuss materiality/ratio marks in this post https://opentuition.com/topic/aaa-exam-2

Agree 100%, i also couls not get any analytical procedures, there was a p&l extract but there were so little lines that there were no ratios to be calculated, i even thought that there was a part missing on that page

Yes, I found this as well. Hardly no financial information so you couldn’t calculate any ratios

Hi guys . I had timber company question as question one in AAA INT , Q1 second part where it says identify audit risk in relation to fair value of timber for 20 marks, did anyone mention that there policy of valuing standing timber trees at fair value less cost to sell was incorrect because IAS 41 agriculture says to value them initially at cost.

I had that too. I really could not understand DB scheme question. How could we understand if there is anything wrong with calculations? There were just precalculated numbers. I hope I get some marks from accounting explanations and evidences:)

Probably in the question actuarial valuation gain/ loss was considered under SOPL but this element needs to be recognized under OCI ...this will change profit/ loss amount....think so..
AAlper5y ago#71
It was classified in OCI in equity as far as I remember. This is why I was confused. Other amounts were current cost and int expense. Maybe I am remembering wrong.

No hope to pass. Last time attempted 92 and got 47. And this time only 75 with average answers. This paper really stucks me from affiliation since 2 years.

Don't worry...God can do anything...all the best

I also think like that four times before but not this time as my first three attempts exam technique approach was wrong just like my this 5th attempt, only in my last 4th attempt fortunately I was able to complete my exam with right exam technique so I was hoping to pass but don't know even after completing its on luck as I failed at borderline so unexpectedly, though aware of my mistakes and errors later on..
