Wow. Congratulations to all that passed

Can you share tips on how to approach this paper please as I failed badly and I am finding it difficult to believe. It’s my first attempt and I am kind of considering doing another paper instead. Anyone done something similar before.

For those that are scoring 46-49 this is classed as a marginal fail and is most likely due to exam technique rather than knowledge. I was in this boat twice with P7 and then finally passed this time. There are 4 very easy professional marks available in Q1 which can make the difference between a pass and a fail. Please see below article.

passed 56% first attempt, the approach is crucial, look for technical articles and webinars from PWC. Knowledge is almost the same as in F8.

Passed at second time with 75. First time I got 36 but was through 5 days of study due to personal circumstances. I have to say this sitting i did about 2 weeks of study as I work long hours.

The key for me to pass this exam is for 2 weeks live, breathe and eat the isa and ias. Learn every single one of them and how they relate. I notice people putting so much emphasis on ias they forget how important isa is. Isa 315 330 etc all relate as much to each other than to things like isa 300 and 500. Learn this inside out and you will pass. Every single question relates in some way to an isa and you will of course be expected to show your ias knowledge.

Like I say live breathe and eat isa and ias for 2 weeks and you will pass. Question practice is also key!

I passed P7 with 60 after several attempts in the 40s range. It is a tough exam. Technique is very important than knowledge, make sure u grab the easy mark first in each Q. It is important to know all the IAS inside out and be able to apply standards in the scenario. Good luck for those who will sit for P7 in the next sitting.

Passed, 50%. Did just enough to pass. Thought I would not make it because of IAS 19 and IAS 40. One more to go. Congratulations to all new affiliates

Terry, there’s no way that I could possibly do that! The concept of offering a personal service to 300,000+ students is giving me chest pains!

If you have a question, post it on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum P7 page and I shall get back to you

I see a number of students asking “Who is this Mike? Can you give me a link to contact him?”

Mike is me. One of you wants a link to Mike’s lectures! Go to the P7 page and look at the menu

If any of you wants to post a question, post it on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum and I shall get back to you
