Hi may you please email me on [email protected] and might share ideas as i am sitting for P7 as well

passed with 52, not bad for a week's study. Thank you Mike. It was the exam technique that did it for me this time. Done with ACCA. Don't give up guys. Knowledge at this level becomes pretty much common sense however it's all about exam technique.

Hi Hammers84 Please share your strategy for 1 weeks study. I plan to sit P7 and F7 in Dec but I'm currently still studying for F7. I'm getting panicky that I might not have enough time to prepare for P7. Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks Jwanyu

Guys, I read opentuition's course notes for the basic knowledge. did pretty much all the questions in BPP's Revision kit. Basically, read the question, and start writing as many points as you can think of and then compare those with the points at the end of the answer in your kit. read the answers if you have enough time. the next time you do a similar question, you would think of more points than you did initially. For exam technique, sit in a position similar to an exam centre. start writing and see how many lines you can write in 1.8 minutes and that should be the maximum you should write in the exam for a point. If I had time, I would have liked to study a full text, gain full knowledge of all the applicable IAS's and ISA's. so my advice is to do these to give yourself a good chance of passing this exam.

Wow. Congratulations to all that passed Can you share tips on how to approach this paper please as I failed badly and I am finding it difficult to believe. It's my first attempt and I am kind of considering doing another paper instead. Anyone done something similar before.
JJas9y ago#49
For those that are scoring 46-49 this is classed as a marginal fail and is most likely due to exam technique rather than knowledge. I was in this boat twice with P7 and then finally passed this time. There are 4 very easy professional marks available in Q1 which can make the difference between a pass and a fail. Please see below article. https://www.accaglobal.com/ng/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/p7/technical-articles/exam-technique.html

Mmobin9y ago#52

I passed P7 with 60 after several attempts in the 40s range. It is a tough exam. Technique is very important than knowledge, make sure u grab the easy mark first in each Q. It is important to know all the IAS inside out and be able to apply standards in the scenario. Good luck for those who will sit for P7 in the next sitting.

Failed again, feeling both stupid and old for such effort
PPheagane9y ago#55
Passed, 50%. Did just enough to pass. Thought I would not make it because of IAS 19 and IAS 40. One more to go. Congratulations to all new affiliates
