@ruzsanyi I prepared in two weeks. did not open the text at all. I just dived straight into solving questions in the revision kit. Auditing is like very mechanical and there are very useful tips you'll pick from solving questions. Develop a technique for answering all question types e.g DADA3 (evidence questions), SSAFIM (ethics) etc

I did not pay my annual subscription but received result as usual

Hi guys and dear Mr.tutor need your thorough advise please , i have been writing p5 without gap since jun14 and still dint cleared ,now according to acca diet june17 would be my last try Please advise is this worth a decision to take p7 in this march17. Do you mean "How do I check the result of my last examination attempt on the myACCA pages?" If that's what you mean ... I suggest that you be patient for a short while longer - the ACCA will be extremely busy around these next couple of days but your status WILL be updated If that's not what you meant, then I can't imagine what your question is!

Hi all! Congratulations to everybody who passed! Well done! I attempted P7 (Irish) 9 times, 9 (NINE). Fail after fail… 46, 45, 43… This is my last one, which I’m doing 3 years. Just do not know what to do… PLEASE, can somebody HELP?

@Ife and @ Mike little I think what he means is how can he check how long he has to complete his qualification, I suggest you go to your my ACCA and check your eligibility on the front page it will state the commencement date and last exam date

Thanks Shazia and MikeLittle. That was what I meant. I need to know how much period I have left to complete my qualification. I could not find eligibility on myACCA front page. Kindly help out.

Please can someone advise me why didn't receive my exam results email- I have paid my annual fees in November and check spam....my last exam & impossible to log in to ACCCA website to find out? Thank you

@tamartephi I'm very sorry to hear you had to go through this 9 times... please keep going march could be your lucky month! I don't think i'm gonna suggest anything new that you don't already know but just a few things that i found helpful after failing P7 first time with 47 in september. I must admit i'm not a big fan of p7 just for the fact i'm not great at remembering theories / notes in great detail nor do i have a very professional logical approach to discursive questions (which i'm not proud of ) which is a key to this paper me thinks if not all prof level papers. (please note - I chose to do international paper nonetheless the techniues might still be suitable) as you've done it few time i assume you have a good knowledge of syllabus area - knowing applicable auditing standards in their order helped me in understanding the audit process (which many people think is not much important so did I in my first attempt but soon realised it was mistake) - having a good knowledge and the ability to apply accountng standards (refresh your P2 knowledge you defo need it for sec A Q2 & sec B. ie lease , impairement , goodwill, financial instruments etc... p7 syllabus gives guidance on important areas to cover - make sure you have the basic understanding of audit process start to finish. review f8 if necessary. - I used BPP but i'm sure your tuition provider (if you use one) will have a good collecion of question practice. if you dont have one it might not be a bad idea to get one........ ( as you've gone through the notes so many time consider using major part of your time left for question practice) - at first write down your answers no right or wrong it doesn't matter just write it down , taking mental notes won't work... write them down compare with answer provided if you're lost , review your study notes in that area. - then do some Q pract. to time LEARN TO STICK TO TIME PLEASE! you might be good at it but i wasn't ..i'm not & will never be !! - writing it down will really help you in sharpening your professional tone.. - do as much past papers as you could get - strictly to time. use the marking scheme, correct it yourself honestly truely. marking scheme is wise guide i only discovered it not that long ago.. i get over exited & carried away explaining things which might only be worth for a mark or two ... marking scheme helped in over coming this issue. - read examiners report at least for the last exam.. read last few technical articles .. give importance to new syllabus area or changes in standard. ( i read Tech. art. day before exam n there was a question set in the related subject.. KAM ) - in exam please please stick to time .... i felt like such an idiot at the end of exam. i spent too much time on Q1 in a 10 mark section in partcular which i wasn't even sure if i was writing the correct answer... and i lost a full 20 mark question !!!!!!!!!!! ran out of time especially it was an area i was very comfortable with i was cursing myself till i got my results i have no idea how did it pass it !! can't think of anything else...... hope these help??? very best luck next time....... you can do it if i can !! regards L

I failed with 38 without even P2 background and that was for 2 weeks of listening to the exam technique without even knowing any standard . P7 i think its a more practical paper than a theoretical one . Lets not give up we will get there.

Hi Lana. Thank you for your reply. You are very good. It seems that I did most of those, i.e. revision of P2 as 1st step, have strong theoretical knowledge (should have after numbers of resits…), practicing past papers. Always read Articles, last time on Extended Auditors report UK (KAM for international) and was glad when I saw it came up. The main issue is a time allocation to questions, I know, especially as I drown in Q1 due to complexity and numbers of requirements. But for me it always was the issue for all exams. But I passed them all. But this one… It’s just beyond me. I understand that it is doable, people have it done. Thank you again. I will not give up! I’ll do it. Regards, T

@Ife I suggest you visit your myACCA home page and scroll down to your eligibility, there is a spot it shows first exam date attempted and last exam date, I remember my student page used to show such a detail. My page at the moment has changed and therefore shows as am affiliate and therefore cannot guide you on how it exactly is, however just look at the home page closely you will be able to see the last elibility date

I Passed P7 with 51, first attempt, i have P2 and P5 left. Glory be to God

Thanks to OT, Have been using your textbook and lectures alone for my studies along with ACCA past question papers and have been passing all my papers. Have saved a lot since F7. Thank you

2017 is my last try too. what is the advice? i have been writing P7 without gap too since December 2014.

@Bolakale, i spend 3 hours during the day after work, i go to the library from 6pm-9pm or study at home from 9pm -12 am when the kids are fast asleep. Saturday and sunday in the library. Minimum time spent is 6hrs, sometimes i spend10hours but i take brake in between. I only study for 1months and 2wks. You just need to be strict and keep to the time and structure.

Passed 1st attempt really glad to get it over with Passed P2 as well now time to go all out for P4 and CFA 1

Time pressure is an evil & my worst enemy too :( Just a thought have you tried doing the section B first or at least leaving the sec A Q1 last to attempt? that trick worked for me after failing p2 4 times my worst of time pressures... I was very time conscious & moving quicker through other questions as I had yet to attempt the most important question Q1. Just a thought ! You might've already tried it ... I failed P4 coz i did not attempt one of the questions coz of time management. Where i have managed to be in time was when i started with questions in Section B then finish with Question 1 .

Do you really need a solid background in P2 to pass P7? Someone help
