The worst exam result is a fail of above 40. Got 47 and 43 in P3 and P2 respectively. Happened twice over 40. Really annoying. What to do?
Kkarmuks11y ago#62
how I understand you :) I had in my first 2 attempts 43 and 46

@kenyata said: @radost2882 Kindly help with the name of the study text and practice kit that you used. Thanks.
Everyone likes different ways of studying. I went to BPP classes in London and studied from them . I have not read the study text at all. Only course notes and also BPP kit. The key would be to make your own notes with your own words so it is easier to remember them.

the result of this voting may not give the true picture as most of voters are passed, and the one who fail does not want to vote.

This is the 9th time I've fail P3 and this time I got a depressing 42% and surprisingly failed P7 also 43% I don’t know what to do again. I'm so fed up. Started ACCA in 2006 completed 11 papers in two and a half years and I'm still unable to qualify..... Every sitting the exam fees increase and every year subscription increases, just wondering is it really worth it?
Cchandhini11y ago#78
Scored 83 in my first attempt :)

I can beat that - I started in 2001! admittedly I have has an 8 year gap since I last sat an exam and its a completely different syllabus since my last papers. But I bit the bullet last september and decided to take my very last 3 papers, P1, P2 and P3 (the optional papers used to be before these papers in the old syllabus so luckily I've already taken and passed those) Somehow I've managed to pass P3 first time and have just booked my courses for P1 and P2 in June and then I'll be done forever! So yes, it will be worth it, I've even started planning where on the wall my certificate will go at work!

I failed at 45%... Next june I won't ! Someone told me that the pass rate was around 80% this year for P3?! Any information/sources about it ??
SSam11y ago#83
76 in P3 & 75 in P1.
Kklown11y ago#84
64% first time pass...was a bit concerned about this one, because I really waffled with the first question and spent way too long on that and rushed the others, so really happy with this result.

The pass rate for P3 in the Dec sitting was 48%, which was the lowest rate for P1 - P3. You can see pass rates for all the exams back to Dec 2007, here: https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/student/acca-qual-student-journey/qual-resource/acca-qualification/pass-rates.html The interesting thing is that P2 is often cited as by far the hardest of P1 - P3, but when you look at the pass rates over time, they tell a different story. Since Dec 2007, both P2 & P3 average a 49% pass rate, so they're both on par with level of difficulty. Yet, looking at the most recent 6 sittings: P3 had a lower pass rate than P2 in 4 of them; both had the same pass rate in one of them, and P2 had the lowest pass rate in the other. Based on that, P3 is actually the harder exam to pass!
