Passed with 78% though time constrained caused me loss of 4 professional marks. First attempt with full time work and 2 dialysis in a week. Thanks to God.

Pass on 2nd attempt. For those that didn’t make it, hang in there. It’s one of those boring subjects (well for me anyway) that just has to be done. Unfortunately it seems P3 is more of the same, so struggling a bit with that too. You have to make the shift from memorising hoards of theory like you had to do in the F level to having a firm grasp on the theory, identifying it in the scenario and expanding on it. As with other P level subjects, practicing as many questions as possible is key to understand not only what, but HOW the examiner wants you to answer.

Agree with you totally. This was my 1st attempt & I failed with 47%. 1st ACCA exam that I failed. I think that I put more importance on the theory & not enough on practising exam questions.

How did you structure your studies pls, i.e. between studying the theory & practising exam questions? I failed exam with 47% very disappointed ?

Passed 53% on my 3rd attempt. What I did differently was just to use the senario and practise, realised I didn’t really write anything knowledge wise. Made sure I answered something in all sections and made sure I didn’t run out of time, hope this will help in the future.

i totally agree with u. i did not read much. I barely covered 60% of the syllabus but i put good use the scenario in the question. Since Internal controls isn’t so a new an area i pulled out a lot of F8 but from top management & board view against auditor’s view as the conventional F8 and i also scored 53%. This means the concept is important. If i had any outside ideas i would have scored higher.
